The best humidifier in the market!

We moved to a condo building 10 years ago that does not have humidification. We have tried 3 kinds of humidifiers, this one is BY FAR the best humidifier, the others pale in comparison in many ways. My only regret is it took me so long to find it. I can count on one hand the number of product reviews I have ever written, so I feel pretty strongly about this product. Amazing

I was getting a bloody nose from how the dry air was in our new house. I bought a regular humidifier at the hardware store, but that wasn’t making a dent. The problem is that both my office and our bedroom were upstairs and had tall ceilings. It just couldn’t put out water fast enough, esp with the heater running. As expected

Water tanks are impossible to clean well-quite heavy when full but I mastered the facilitation of placing them in the unit without mishap; our water has a level of iron that left a film I can't scrub off; the glugging of water as water evaporates is something we became accustomed to; I have since put it away, actually, and am using a small warm mist humidifier which does not measure up to this unit with regard to adding moisture to the air.

Doesn't control humidity

I like the design, it's pretty quiet and seems to add humidity pretty well, but it doesn't maintain humidity at a set level. 39% 67%. It's a crap shoot. I want to rely on this thing to keep my music room at a good level for my stringed instruments. My previous Vornado humidifier did a great job and cost less. Disappointed.

Ooops missing filters

I've purchased several of these over the years. Good item. However, recently I was disappointed to discover they no longer come with both filters required for operation. I purchases three of the Evap 40 this month. Each contained only one filter....which means you have to order more filters immediately in order for the units to be used.. I wonder why they changed the pratice of incuding both filters with these units. A trick to get you to buy a filter supply/

Completely ineffective!

I have a open concept living space. No where near 1000 sq feet. I bought this because of the large capacity & run time. It DOESN'T WORK! SO DISAPPOINTED! It has had ZERO impact on the humidity level in my home. Even after running for over 24 hours straight & completing a full to empty water cycle. It also does not shut off after the water has run completely dry. (HAZARDOUS!) I bought this thinking it was the solution for my needs. It's a big clunky eye sore that is useless.

Love This Humidifier

I had a humidifier that didn’t work and replaced it with this one. I love that the water lasts longer than a day and keeps my bedroom comfortably humidified when on. The 2 water containers are easy to fill up and the unit is easy to assemble and disassemble.

My family owns two, and both running strong

My parents got one of these as a wedding gift a long time ago, and it still works! My mom got another one though, and so the old one is a backup but we probably won't need it for that. Looking at other reviews, people were saying the fan is impossible to get to, and, uh, no it isn't, because there's screws on the underside of the fan going around which you can loosen and remove to get to the fan and clean it (yours may not have them but both Evap40s that we have do [20-30 years b/w them], sooooo...

Love the Added Moisture - Hate the Inaccurate Humidistat

The humidifier has a great design. It is easy to clean; it is easy to fill. I was able to get my 14% humidity level up to ~40% in no time. I am able to keep enough moisture in the room so that I am no longer shocked by static electricity!! Ability to re-humidify the room is 5 stars. However, the humidistat does not function well. design allows for 4 gal in low profile and high output

I was a little skeptical of the design at first, turns out to be brilliant. it would be nice if the top fastened to the bottom but that would distract from it simplicity and sleekness. being able to fill the tubs directly saves time

Are you fricking KIDDING ME?!?!

Made in USA?? Flipping CHEAP?? Dumps 4gal of water into your place per DAY?? These people are morons for burying this product in the corner of their website. Can it be near? Long Lasting and Works Great!

At just a week shy of 9 years old, the base cracked and caused water to leak all over the floor. This may have been caused by us moving the unit from the bedroom to the living room because this sucker is heavy if there is any amount of water in it. The fan still works great so I am going to see if I can order a new base. In the meantime, I will order a second unit so I don't have to move it around anymore. I highly recommend this humidifier.

Is doing the job!

Our apartment is 1300 sq ft, with 18' high ceilings. This is keeping the apartment at around 45%, which is good with us. The unit is easy to use, and the reservoirs are easily filled with tap water.

KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) Product That Works Well

I have two of these, one for over twenty years and the other for over ten years. I use them EVERY winter in a NYC pre-war building (dry weather and radiators). They are incredibly easy to use and to maintain. In the driest conditions I go through two tanks of water on each machine in 24 hours (approx. 1,500 square feet, 10 ft. ceilings, humidity approx. 40%), so it's great that the tanks have handles, and big fill openings. I hold them straight under the faucet to fill, then they slip easily...

This does exactly what it says it'll do, put 4 gallons of water into the air, consistently. Cat loves it to!

Simple design that just works

I struggled researching to find a decent quality larger humidifier that didn't have tons of bad reviews. Someone mentioned liking this model online and after taking a look at it i decided to pull the trigger. We've had it for about 3 weeks now and so far so good. It does what it's supposed to do and the build quality is such that it looks like it will last a while.

Great product and made in the USA!

I purchased this about a month ago. Ran it as the directions said. Now the whole house has remained at a wonderful 40% humidity. And it is made in the USA!!!

First Humidifier A

I've wanted/needed a humidifier for quite a while, but just didn't take time to purchase. When my fingers started cracking from the weather and my skin was getting very dry I decided it's now. I wanted one made in USA, so research led me to Vornado. It's design is nice, use is easy, am happy with purchase. Just took a bit to get used to the sound, but if it's too much I just turn off for a little while. Absolutely encourage for anyone who needs one. Thank you Vornado.
