Would RecommendThis pop up is for vessels without overflow. The instructions were not very clear so it took longer to install. There is a piece that is supposed to be optional but was not disclosed in the instruction manual. I had to re-install the darn thing three times until I got it correctly.

I bought this because I was told that I needed it because the new sink I bought doesn't have an overflow drain. The instructions do not mention the extra "washer" with an O-ring. I am assuming that it is the "Mounting Ring" but I'm not sure.
