I use this with a 20 Amp set of circuit breakers and a compressor wired to it. Easy to wire and sturdy. Wire directions are marked on the back. I also have a 30 Amp breaker set in the breaker panel to switch over to when someone visits with an RV.

Stopped the heating on my extension cord.
Would RecommendWorks a treat. I run a 30 amp RV off of an 18 amp circuit breaker in my apartment. I have no way to get more power than that. My 10 gauge extension cord would heat up the end where the RV plugged in. We kn ow that heat is wasted power so... I cut the end off and replaced it with this socket. The huge surface area of each contact completely eliminates heating.

Would RecommendThe outlet worked well. I had to plug a travel trailer in. One thing to make sure that the wires are secure, the hot came out after we closed the box up. Blow the breaker.
