Less than 18 Months Stopped Working

I am an electrician and installed this light less than 18 months ago on a new house. I got a call -back and the light totally stopped working. I replaced the light, brought it back to my shop and tested it; totally now working. I called Utilitech and even knowing it was well within the warranty would not replace it without a receipt which I gave to the customer. Now I am out a replacement motion detector light, which I purchased this time at another box store, and a service call no thanks to...

A disposable product

I had the same experience as mentioned in other reviews. After two years, the LED’s were so dim that it’s useless. No bulbs to change. No choice but to trash it and replace. These were installed by a contractor.

Bought these due to great price deal

Easy to install. Got great price deal so I bought more

Stopped working after 2 years

The light just stopped working after 2 years or usage. Comes on with a low intensity, can't even see a thing with the light., It does not seem to be repairable either. I had to replace the unit completely. Will not buy again.

Broke 6 months after installing it

Installed the lamp outside and 6 months after that it stopped working , told my handyman to come over to see if it got disconnected and that wasn’t the case , it broke only after about 6 months

3 years until it died

Died after 3 years... it was good until this last winter when it went dim on me.

What Am I Doing Wrong??!?!

Frustrated. It worked well for a few years, now it suddenly just stays dim all the time. I can't see things in my dark backyard. I have it set on HIGH, and 10 Mts. I tried to "test" mode too. Nothing. Just a dim light.

Easiest outdoor installation

Very easy installation (pre-built snap-on bracket construction instead of screwing into junction box), highly customizable. Lights are NOT heat-adjustable.

2 lights died within a month

I've been fortunate throughout life to not get stuck with duds, but the 2 of these that I bought and mounted both died within a month. One went out followed by the next one. Also, the motion sensor wasn't that great. I had to be literally within 8 feet before it sensed me. The lights I replaced had lasted 15 years and were replaced only because they were rusting.

Great outside light

Have installed in carport and front deck. Really like the dusk to dawn setting with motion sensor giving full light when sensor activated.

Motion activated light

Purchase a 2nd UT LED 180 degree 1100 hardware montion activted light. This lasted 4 months before it failed. The first one lasted about 1 year.

water get into lens

I have several of these lights and over all like the proformance. Water will get into the lense and burn oit the light , the good part is once wired you can easily unhook the light seperate from the base and replace with another light. To solve the water intrusion either caulk the lense or drill a few holes in the bottom so water will drain out. Unfortunately i found the hard way it will also trip the breaker so it was a bummer until i discovered the problem

Replacement purchase

Works fine when working. This purchase was made because my current light croaked after 4 yrs of service. Past the warranty but not a stellar life expectancy.
