The thermacell battery will not charge.

I have had my thermacell for about 4 years, worked fantastic for mosquitoes. I have tried everything and cannot replace the battery. Only option is to buy a new one. Disappointed about this.

It really works!!!

I used this at a BBQ out by my pool, at sunset in south Florida, during the summer (july) and the mosquitos are a nightmare... I didnt turn it on right away and everyone was complaining how they were getting bitten up. So then I turned on the Thermacell - Radius Zone Mosquito Repellent, Gen 2.0 - Black and within 20 mins, everyone that was there was commenting on how well it worked and that they werent getting bit anymore... I probably sold 10 of them that night cause everyone was taking pics so...

Effective gadget

Thankful to my new find that allow me and my family to enjoy outdoors worry free, no scent and so effective thermacell repellent, easy to assemble and can be used as guard in several occasions from mosquitoes, hunting, fishing, hiking outdoors, while family or single person having nature adventures.

NO POWER

This device worked well last year. this year will not charge..After going to buy 2 new cartages my device is garbage

Casing too fragile

Two purchases of the same product and both times the casing cracks into pieces without falling on the floor. Totally rotten product. See both products broken everywhere.

Waste of money

As so many other reviewers have stated: bought this last year (along with a refill so I'd be ready for this summer) but it will not charge! And now that it's discontinued I probably can't even sell the unused refill on eBay! Waste of money!

Not as effective

Have been using the cartridge/pad version for years with spectacular results! At home we don’t have a mosquito problem but the old version works to get rid of the flies and other annoying insects. This one does very little to take care of that. Going to take both to the beach where we do have mosquitoes and see if the different chemicals are effective.

Won't charge

Thermacell showdown

I bought mine last year and after few uses the bottom cracked so we put a tape around to hold the bottom. This year, we are on a second cartridge in total and during the heat, while we were using it outside, the top popped up and we couldn’t fit it back on the base to make it work. Hi All - Same with many purchasers I had big expectations of the product. It worked great as long as it is working. After one year, our unit stops charging no matter what I tried using the internet and also support from Thermacell. At the end, they processed my unit under warranty. Top cover cracked after just a few used

The product was recommended by Bill Green who for decades hosted the popular program “Bill Green’s Maine”. He spent all his time outdoors so we decided to give your product a try. It seems to work but we were very disappointed when the top cover cracked after just a few outings. We have duct taped it to see if we can get it to snap in place and are hoping it will work. Need to upgrade the plastic you are using.

worked for 1 year for me

I bought this 2 years ago it worked great last year but it doesn't work anymore I charged it and it shows it's fully charged but when you press the button to turn it on it just flashes and won't work

Thermacell works great but I would like to know more about the chemical that makes it work. The active ingredient in the Thermacell Radius is Metofluthrin. Metofluthrin is a chemical created in 2005 by Sumitomo ChemicalCo., Ltd. & was approved by the EPA in 2006. Metofluthrin is extremely effective in killing mosquitoes. And we're back outdoors!

This absolutely works. We're able to sit outside in the evenings and enjoy visiting with our friends. We've previously had traps we hung in the trees, lanterns we hung around the porch, scented candles, etc. Nothing has worked before this.

Keeps the bugs away, BUT

Received this as a gift from my Daughters and was very skeptical about the technology, which ended up impressing me at how well it worked. Great product

I bought this when it first appeared on the market. I love the fact it is rechargeable and the longer life pods. The product "thermacell" really works, and works well.
