This hose reel is great for storing a hose, but not so great when actually using the hose. It comes with a short section of hose to connect your spout to the reel, and then you connect your hose to the reel. The first section, where the short hose connects to the reel, is plastic and not very secure. Almost any time I use the hose, which isn't often, it pops off and I have to reconnect it. I'm considering giving up on it and getting a hose pot.

Fabulous easy to wind the hose back up

Love this house reel I've been looking for some way to deal with my water hose for years...8 love how this rolls it back up. I have a ZeroG hose..that is also purchased at Lowes...it's fabulous and not too heavy.

Saves your Water Hose!

I bought my hose reel 3 years ago during a Lowes sales and it has been my BEST investment ever!! Before this purchase I was constantly buying water hoses due to them being laid on the ground being ran over the weather and everything else! Well I got sick of it! just what I needed

I simply needed a hose reel for me to use 2-4 times a year when I'm able to wash my car.. this works great and has helped up since purchase a few months ago. No leaking or dripping.

The material was thin and flimsy, poorly designed - it was not made to hold the 100ft. the hose I purchased at the same time.

Doesn't come.with double end male hose attachment. So plan on buying one too

Suncast Plastic 175 ft Cart Hose Reel.

I bought this model for my front yard after I had used the same model in my back yard. I have a relatively small yard and did not want to keep moving hoses to the back and front. It's fairly light weight and easy to hook up and to use. I did not want to have a system I would have to screw into my brick for fear I would crack the brick. These units work great for my purposes and would recommend them, The price was right, too - $30 each, so I'm really happy with them.

Good unit

Well engineered. Light weight. Easy to assemble and use. 4 starts since I have not had it long. Should last a long time without abuse.

Not the greatest.

It works, sort of. My connector hose didn't have a rubber washer, so I had to fish one out of my spare parts drawer to make it stop leaking. The unit is so light, it's almost impossible to roll the hose up onto it, even stepping on the foot pad. And it's very flimsy, so it wobbles and twists a lot when moving it around. Still, it does provide hose storage for the winter, which is about the best I can say of it.

Easy to setup, really nice reel for the price. Has worked great so far.

Suncast rules

This replaced an old Suncast hose reel that I had for more than 10 years. The old one was kept outside all year long, thru summer and winter and it still lasted that long. I expect this one to do the same, that is why I bought another Suncast hose reel.

Too many issues

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not the most expensive but I thought that it would work with no issues. It does leak once the hose is on, removed all the parts and switched them around and we still have the same issues. Too much trouble to return, specially with the pandemic. Keeping it but not recommend it.
