Poison grass before laying fabric
Would RecommendIt doesn't seem to kill the weeds underneath. The first time I used this, I used a line trimmer to knock the grass down, then put the fabric down. That worked for a bit, but the grass grew up and around the fabric and came out the seams (which I did overlap). The second effort I poisoned the heck out of the ground, let the grass die, then put the fabric down. So far that seems to have worked better, but it's only been a couple weeks.
