Ratings & Reviews for SpeedOut 4 -Pack HSS Double-Ended 2-in Screw extractor set

What Customers Are Saying
Customers are divided on this screw extractor, with most praising its dual-function design for removing stripped screws quickly and cleanly on medium to large fasteners in softer materials. However, many report significant failures when tackling rusted, hardened, or stainless steel screws, with bits snapping or failing to grip properly. Success heavily depends on technique—users who followed instructions and used penetrating oil reported better results, while those applying excessive force or using impact drivers often experienced failure. Some question material quality, citing cheap carbon steel and durability concerns. Overall, most find it effective for suitable applications, though many remain frustrated by its unreliability on tougher fasteners.

Would RecommendDid what I needed, saved me a lot of time and hassle
Strong and durable drill bits
Would RecommendThese drill bits worked great and felt very durable. They cut through metal smoothly without dulling quickly. Good quality for the price and very useful to have different sizes included in the pack.
Didn’t do the job
Would Not RecommendBought these are some Lowe’s wood screws fully stripped out on the head (next time I’m buying higher quality screws). This kit for removing stripped screws didn’t work at all, and instead just kept tearing up the head more. Eventually I just used a set of vice grips and removed the screw manually. I’m sure this product could work well, if the screws are high enough quality to begin with.

Returned It !!!
Would Not RecommendI bought it. It did not work on a rusted old screw on my gas grill that had been through countless heat cycles. I also bought a traditional set by another manufacturer, and it got the job done. May work on something, but I can’t see it being useful for any “real” job. Go with the old reliable design. I’d have to say this speed out gadget is more of a gimmick.
Great Little Gadets
Would RecommendSon told me to get these for him, needed to get a stripped screw out of something. These worked like a charm.
Works Great
Would RecommendDoes a very good job when you need it.
Might be good for screws shorter than two inches
Would RecommendI was not successful in removing the screw. I speculate that it was because it was two inches in length.

Almost perfect but for the price, perfect!
Would RecommendThese work exactly as intended and for the price point I don't think there's a better option. My only caveat to this statement is that I've started to notice a little chipping on the extractors after a hand full of uses. I don't think it'll impact the integrity of the bits, nor prevent them from doing what their intended to do but just a slight observation. Other than that for the price point, it's worth buying for your application and always good to have on hand to get you out of a pinch!
Dual purpose, drill bit and extractor all-in one.
Would RecommendWas what I needed to extract corroded screws.
