Augers were okay, shelter not so much
Bought a ShelterTube for added storage at the cottage because it was supposed to be "the perfect all-season storage solution". Didn't last one season.

Would RecommendI bought these for my shelter and boy am I glad. They really proved their worth this winter when we had some pretty gusty (50+ MPH) wind storms - my shelter, although pretty shaky at times, held its ground while my neighbor's shelter went tumbling away - TWICE!!! Well worth the price and the effort of installing.

Would RecommendBought about 8 of these to anchor each corner and midle of the carport on the inside. Also purchased corresponding turn-buckles with hooks (Princess Auto) and eye-bolts that go through the vertical portion of the carport frame. Install the hook ends into the anchors and eye-bolts and tighten the turn-buckles. Carport isn't going anywhere. Not too easy to get these into gravel but can be done. Look for better
Would Not RecommendThese came in a kit with a portable carport. The do not work well. They don't "bite" well enough for install. The spin and spin in the ground. I can put the majority of my 200 plus lbs pushing down and they won't cut into the ground. Look for something better.

Would RecommendThese augers work great as extra security from wind damage. They can be a bit difficult to get into some types of ground but for the most part can be placed easily.
