What Customers Are Saying
Customers are divided on this valve handle. Many appreciate its affordability and simple one-screw installation, calling it a cost-effective alternative to replacing entire valves. However, a substantial portion express disappointment with its plastic construction, describing it as flimsy and prone to breaking under moderate torque. Compatibility issues are significant—it works well with certain valve stems but fails with others due to mismatched dimensions. Several note unclear labeling makes it difficult to determine compatibility before purchase. Despite material concerns, those finding a compatible fit often consider it worthwhile for the price.

New & Shiny but not Metal
Would RecommendThe handle I have is metal and this one kind of looks metal but it’s not… feels fragile too but it’s new and shiny and that’s what I needed.

Quick and cheap fix
Would RecommendWorks well enough for the price as these things break pretty easily with hard-water deposits and sticky valves.

Wont fit Non Sharkbite brand ZURN valves.
Would Not RecommendThey don't fit. The sharkbite brand spline is fine toothed, where my Zurn valves use a coarse tooth. Had to use Dremel and grind down the teeth, then pack spline area with JB Weld epoxy to make new teeth inside the knob.

Shut-off valves, compact size
Would RecommendI was missing the handle to the shut-off valves in my bathroom and these fit well. They are small and take up less room so fit well under my sink inside the vanity.

Deceptively painted to look metal
Would Not RecommendI bought a bunch of these only to be left frustrated when they turned out to be cheap flimsy plastic painted to look like they're made of metal. Now I have to deal with returning them. I've also lost trust in SharkBite. If they're willing to sell this brittle garbage where else are they willing to cut corners?
Size specifications not provided on packaging.
Would Not RecommendLike other reviews have mentioned already, this valve handle is made out of cheap plastic, which only looks metallic. I believe this is meant to fit 3/8" valve stems, but the on-line description and the product's packaging does not actually specify. My toilet's 3/8" shut off valve stem needs a 16-point broach (gear-like star pattern in the "threading" of the handle), but this valve handle has an 18-point broach, so it did not fit. Of course, neither the on-line product description nor the produc...

Even online you don't know what you are getting.
The handle was scrap to me. You can't see through the underside of the package. My valve stem was square not 8 pointed. The package had to be destroyed to get to part. Screw was a taped thread, not a screw.
