Don’t do it.

Crap like every other Samsung appliance. Stay away from Samsung. I’ve had constant issues with all my appliances.

Heating Element went out

Heating element had to be replaced after 4.5 years. Previous Maytag lasted 15. I also have a Samsung Fridge that the ice maker died after 2 years, and Range that the burners are only on/off. I just don't think their appliances are reliable and won't buy them again.

Inoperative After Four Years

We purchased this dryer in December 2018. It is now November 2022 and the dryer no longer operates correctly. The tumbler continues to run without any heat, even with the dryer turned off. After some digging online I have found that we are not the only owners who have experienced this problem. It appears to be an issue with the relay that is interconnected with the door switch. Poor Design and Component Selection

Dependable

we have had this dryer and our washer for over 4 years. it's used almost daily and we have yet to have any issues with it. the best features to us are the wrinkle prevent and the refresh settings. like i said, i never had a problem in 4 years so i have to give it 5 stars on everything.

BROKE DOWN AFTER 3 YEARS

Broke down after 3 years of owning. For an $800 dryer, I expected it to last at least 8-10 years. I was fortunate enough to be able to purchase it at a discounted price. I would be so livid if I had paid full price for this piece of junk.

Broke After Only 2 Years!

can't believe this dryer stopped working only after 2 years. i should have listened to other reviewers about samsung's low appliance quality.

Will never buy samsung again!

The dryer quit turning off unless we manually leave the door open (major fire risk) after only having two year! Now 6 months later the washer will not spin/gets stuck. When I contact samsung they are not at all helpful and when looking at reviews and info online it seems this is very common! Poor quality and poor customer service. Now $2K down the drain. Will not make this mistake again!

Don’t waste your money

This only lasted us three years for a family of three! Then boom out of no where it made a loud screeching sound and now will not turn on. Warranty is only for twelve months. So if u must buy this make sure you spend the extra on an extended warranty. I thought Samsung would do better than this. Just want everyone aware!

Every week when I wash sheets, I am reminded of what a disappointment this electric dryer has been. No matter how we place the sheets in the dryer (random, criss-crossed like pie crust, layered like lasagna, individual loose wads...), no matter which cycle or temperature we use, no matter if it's one set of double sheets or one set of double and one set of king, these sheets wrap into the tightest roll. Built to fail in 2.5 years..

I purchased this dryer in 2016, and it began failing in 2018. After paying a few hundred for a repair, something else failed a few weeks later. I bought a new dryer, same model, so things would match. Silly me, 2.5 years later, and my dryer is no longer heating. I bought the extended warranty this time, but it will be more than two weeks before they can get someone out to look at it. These are junk.

Terrible installation.

Dryer is dented in two places and the installers knew it when they installed it. We noticed it the next day. Another dryer is on order but who knows how long it will take. Besides the damage the water hose was not installed for some reason. Tbis was for the steam. Wood floor was scratched bad when the Maxine was installed. Installers had wet boots on and tracked thru the house. No covering on their boots as other service people wear. Terrible experience from the day of purchase and we are not do...

Replacing after 1.5 years...

I will not be buying another Samsung product any time soon. I got this dryer as part of a set at the end of 2018. The drum stopped spinning a couple days ago and filled the room with smoke. I had to have a tech come out today and found out that the motor is blown and between that and labor it is more than the dryer cost to start with. Talked to the tech and found out that this is pretty much standard with Samsung. I will be buying another brand as a replacement and will be a walking billboard ag...

Good while it works

I purchased this dryer about 5 years ago. No trouble from it for the first 3 years. The last 2 years have had to replace thermostat, thermal fuse (3x), and heating element and now it's making terrible clunking noises...the overheating issue is an electronic issue unrelated to clogged vent. I purchased the matching washer at same time and it still works great. Not a fan of samsung stackable dryers.

Aweful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] we have had this dryer juuuust long enough for its warrenty to end and now it wont shut off unless the door is open regardless of wether it is turned on or off.

Never turns off/safety issues

broke down within a year never stops turning unless you unplug the machine. i've got two little ones serious safety issue. would not recommend especially for the price!

Worst Junk Ever

this dryer rolls everything, and i do mean everything, into a ball, leaving what ever is inside the ball damp.

Great dryer

Heats up quickly, steam feature is wonderful. Matches perfectly with the merlot washer.

Samsung dryer

I love my new Samsung dryer , its so nice and Lowe's was super nice to work with me over the phone and delivered my dryer on a Sunday . I definitely will be purchasing from Lowe's in the future , thank you so much !
