Number panel fails, bad service

We've had this model for many years. Had to replace the handle after about 4-5 years, number panel failed and we paid to replace it after about 7 yrs. Figured it was worth it since it cooks just fine. New panel failed 1 yr later. Samsung service is notoriously terrible and several local repair shops won't touch the brand since there are too many quality issues. Don't make the same mistake we did.

Burned up after 2.5 Years

It is nice looking, but there is a common problem with the touchpad which I believe I experienced. I touched potato, cook and after a few minutes went upstairs as I noticed there was 7.5 minutes left on the timer. Time passed and there were billows of smoke coming up my stairs to the 2nd floor. The microwave stopped itself, the taters were burned to a crisp, and the inside top wall of the microwave was melted. Door handle snaped off

Worked fine till the door handle snapped off. Don't let Lowes sell you this product it is poorly made. Buy another brand. Lowes has a good verity of products from other reputable manufacture's Otherwise the microwave worked fine I only used it maybe once a week so I am not a heavy user.

I bought mine 2 yrs ago and it worked fine until now. The display reads SE and now it does nothing. For the cost of repair I may as well just buy a new one. Customer support is no help and the warranty just ran out, what a surprise! will not buy another one

Do NOT buy!

I bought my microwave less than 2 years ago. My kids spilled milk on it. No big deal, right? WRONG! It peeled inside the microwave. It is so ugly now! Never will buy again!

Tie on a rope and use it for an anchor!

Purchased this MW 1 1/2 years ago. It went out the first time just before the warranty experied. Then it went out again shortly after warranty expired. Samsung did a one-time extension. Now, about 6 months after the last repair, it is dead again. No heat! Same symptoms all three times. Very disappointed as we like other Samsung products, i.e., Fridge, stove, DW and 2 large screen LED TVs.

I wish I had went up to the next level it to too cheap. My handle broken I can't believe it. It's not even a year old .

Stupid plastic handle!

I saw all of the complaints about the handle and thought it wouldn't happen to me. It did and it was a pain to get Samsung to replace it. They had to install it, which meant I had to take off work to be home for their technician. And they cancelled my work order for some reason, so when they didn't show for the first appointment, I had to take off work again for the rescheduled appointment. But they replaced it, at no cost to me. Fast forward a few months... another broken handle. It's now out ...

handle broke

The handle is made of cheap plastic and broke off in my hand after only 7 months of use. Most Samsung products are great, but I will not be purchasing another microwave from them in the future. What a piece of junk.

unit runs 24/7 have to unplug it to stop it Samsung did say that they would cover parts getting repair is taking a while about a month

Just remodeled kitchen, we bought this samsung because it looked good at the store. less then 2 months later the door entire handle broke off in my hands!!! how is that even possible? cheap plastic parts. do not buy this

Replacing while still in manufacturer's warranty.

Have had this unit 11 months. First problem at 5 months, went dark, would not operate. Unplugged for 24 hrs and it worked again. Another 5 months, same thing, but no result when unplugged. Samsung sent tech to repair, who replaced the control panel and power cord. Worked a month, same problem. Tech ordered another power cord, but I am replacing the unit, because it cannot be trusted to work, and I fear a fire hazard from it. 11 months old (one month out of service so far) and going to the landfi...

A Feature Short

A stainless Steel product with a HOLLOW PLASTIC HANDLE? The rest of the quality is great but the plastic handle is awful. My handle broke off after a minimal use of just 6 months.

Looks great, works great

This microwave looks great in our kitchen, matches or other Samsung appliances and is high powered and fast. Great preset features. Cooks fast. Looks sharp.

Search Samsung 5E before you buy

Had this microwave for just over a year and it out of nowhere gave what is described online as "the Samsung dreaded 5E" code. Checked repair ideas online and found people are getting it to work again by cleaning the contacts, didn't work even though I could clearly see a spot on the ribbon cable connection that looked suspect. Nice microwave and decent price

A very nice looking microwave at a very reasonable price (got it on sale online). Very poor instructions and the owners manual is a joke. The owners manual is a 3 or 4 page flyer with no detailed function information. Kind of a one manual for many different microwaves. unexpected short lifespan

First, we've been happy with the microwave for a year and a half until this week when the unit stays on and will not turn off. As a result we have to leave the door open or unplug the unit until we use it. If we shut the door, it starts to run and cook, continually, until we open the door or unplug it.
