What Customers Are Saying

Customers overwhelmingly praise this circular saw for exceptional power, lightweight design, and smooth operation. The 15-amp motor delivers effortless cuts through wood, plywood, and OSB, with the Vari-Clutch feature reducing kickback risk. The magnesium housing keeps weight low while maintaining durability, making extended use comfortable. Reviewers highlight industrial-grade construction, precise bevel settings, and thoughtful features like the onboard wrench and dust blower. Factory alignment arrives true and square. A few note the absence of a rip fence and minor cut depth limitations, though most consider these negligible. Overall, customers consider this saw exceptional.

Skilsaw is an excellent choice

Would Recommend

Smooth torque and cutting action. Lighter than my previous saw. I expect to have this far longer than any of the other saws I've had. The included blade hits the sweet spot too!

Amazing buy at an affordable price

The saw is strong and well built. Its easy to change the angle on the blade and also increase/reduce the depth of the cut. The metal body makes it very easy to guide the saw during free hand cuts.

Very good saw.

Very good saw at this price point. It was square out of the box and cuts perfectly. The magnesium shoe is an added benefit.

Love my new saw!

Would Recommend

Works great! It's a bit lighter than my old Skil saw which makes it much easier to use. Also, there's no extra safety button to push when starting up the saw. Makes it easier to use, but maybe more dangerous. I had to replace my old saw when the depth adjustment lever no longer worked. I hope this doesn't happen with this saw, but I did have the old saw for MANY years before that happened.

Smoooooth

Compared to my 30-year-old Craftsman circular saw, the new Sidewinder is so much easier to use, and it simply glides through the material being cut and scarcely needs to be pushed.

Fantastic Saw!!!

Would Recommend

Love this Saw, it cuts fast, clean, with precision, and glides easily, easy to control. Dust blower clears cutting path effectively. Ample cord length. This is the best Circular Saw I have ever used! It's well built and feels like high quality "like things use to be". I'm not easily impressed but so far I'm impressed with this Saw! I highly recommend it to everyone who is looking for a good durable saw.

Great work horse circular saw!

Would Recommend

I have been using Skilsaw or Makita circular saws my whole life. My last sidewinder was stolen. These saws are not perfect, but really close to as good as it gets. My only issue is that the motor housing sits too close to the shoe(fence side) to ride fence during ripping. Not the worst issue to have to raise up a little but, the saw also doesn't have the deepest cut depth, so makes it all that more irritating.
