Great price, quick delivery, easy to use right out of the box

Disappointing

Lower quality than I was expecting. The machine is terrible with buttonholes and basting. I've had to rip out multiple attempts at buttonholes, and the machine simply gets stuck when I try to base. It was a fairly inexpensive machine, and I guess that's what I ended up with.

Great machine

It is a great machine wish you had more sewing patterns programmed into it like the 9960 quilting one but the power is great.

Replacing a 64-year-old Singer

I bought the Singer HD 6800C sewing machine for my mother's birthday which is replacing her "Touch N Sew 600" (manufactured around 1962). After years of use her Singer 600 started to wind the thread around the bobbin causing a mess and requiring the removal of the bobbin and pulling out the section that was sewed. Not so heavy duty

I've tried the machine on a number of projects, but when it came down to doing a commission to re upholster 4 chairs, it failed. The material was vinyl and it could handle the seams, but when it came to the top stitching the stitches were inconsistent. The needle would vibrate wildly at the extra layer and catch in loops on yhe bottom, as I tried to remove the knots at the bobbin, it took off on it's own sewing without touching the foot. This is my very first sewing machine and I absolutely love this machine so far. Easy to use and simple yet powerful.

Good Machine but Foot Control Issues

I really liked this machine! It was easy to use and the automatic thread snip + tie off features were great for me. I’ve only had the machine for a few months when the foot control stopped working. It would work here and there but then stopped. Seems like the socket is loose and messing with the connection. Would be 5 but owner manual. If you want one you have to except cookies, why. I just want l /need a sewing, if i want more ill fix the web site again.

Serious work force

Had this machine for nearly 9 years. I sew with it daily, from crafts to clothes and quilting. It has handled every challenge like a pro. The only issue had so far is the thread guard on the take up lever, it allows the thread to jump track when stitching at the highest speed .

Go from light to heavy seeing with ease

I waited so long to finally have my dream sewing machine. I love the ease of going from heavy to light fabrics. I’ve seen garments, crafts and all with ease. My only wish is that they t came with manual. Some of us are old school and like paper manuals.

Thrilled to be back with Singer

Love the machine. The motor is powerful enough to sew through all the layers of a quilt. The buttonholes are consistent. Stitch length is even. It is intuitive to use. A great value for the price and a joy to use.
