Handle's Prone to Breaking

It's an OK bin but the handles are a weak spot and mine broke on the first trip. I had 2 bins and was able to swap the handles out in the short term, but can't seem to find a replacement. Really to bad. all I need is a new handle. If they made them from Aluminum they'd be stronger and not break. I'd pay the extra money for good aluminum handle. At the very least maybe reinforce the plastic by including thread material or something into the mix, that will bind the plastic and make it less brittl...

Poor design

Had written out a long and drawn-out essay on at least one of the problems with this unit, but I'm usually not in the habit of giving free design and engineering advice. Suffice to say that it is not a bad product but it is lacking. For the money though it is not a bad value, it could just be better with light improvements to the design.

Broken handle

Product worked great for 1 week, then 1 red latch broke.

Handles breaking

We have used the 24 gallon action packer for years with our company. This past year the handles seem to break quite easily on at least a dozen of the 20 we bought.

Need parts and beefed up corners.

Have several and had them for years. They were best thing on the market at the time. Loved them. I haul chains, jumper cables, oil and tie downs in a 24 gallon and it is always with me.. That one doubles as to complete my back seat bed when solo camping/hunting as it perfect size to wedge between back seat and front seat to make a wider platform. Poor design

I’ve had the 24gal action packer for some time, although mine has held up. I CAN NOT use it for what it’s name implies, I rock crawl and space in a 2013 Jeep Wrangler 2 door is precious, the dimensions for this bin are 26.5”L x 19.3”W x 17.4”H, my sleeping pad rolls up to 26”L x 9” W, with the bins dimension my roll SHOULD fit, NOPE with all the useless bends and what not they put into it the dimensions are not internal dimensions. Cheap Handles

I bought this product barely over a month ago. One of the handles broke when I was lifting it up.

Used these for years!

I've got several of the 24-gallon size and one 35-gallon size that I've had for years for storing camping/canoeing gear. They are great! I always take one of the 24's on overnight canoe trips for camp kitchen and non-perishable items. Fits perfect between gunwales. Only issue is that after several years (15+), some of the latches don't fully engage. Never had one break though like other reviewers have mentioned.

Use for camping

0ver 20 years and still going strong!!!

I purchased the 35 gallon Action Packer over 20 years ago and have taken it on a 3 day canoes trips every year with a group of about 6 boats, I pack everything I want to keep dry in there with some canned foods, mess kits, tools things like that. I have picked this tote up and thrown it in the river on many occasions so my things stay dry if things get a little rowdy on our trips. It floats well, keeps my things dry and is easy to retrieve. This thing sucks

I have only had this thing for a few months with limited light use and the handle/latch has already broken. I spent way to much for this garbage.

Tough and Durable for outdoor sporting!

We own 4- 24 gal models. Strongly recommend colors in manufacturing olive drab green or camo. The black has a tendency to heat up in the sun and the red handles are not conducive to concealment in sporting applications. would definately buy more in better colors.

Broken out of the box

I had to have the bin ordered to the store I shop at and I took it home in the sealed cardboard box. It appeared fine at home and I loaded it with some items. When I went to move the bin I found a hole on the backside (left side) of the hinge. It appears the plastic is very thin for a product that is promoted as a heavy duty product. Extremely poor quality

I bought two 35 gal bins for my scout group, but I will be returning them. One had a bad latch that wouldn't stay locked. The other had a warped lid that would allow water to leak in if there was blowing rain. Very poor production quality for the latch alignment and cheeply produced plastic molding. I bought several when we lived in the USA - we now live in Australia. Have had ours for about 25-30 years - outlasted half a dozen other brands. Wish I could get more. (hard enough in the USA, let alone Australia, it seems...)

Simply the best!

I've had 2 of these for around 20 years. They have been all over the US camping and they are hands down the best storage container I think you can get. They've been dropped, drug, rained on and soaked in mud. They are simply the best!

Superb Product

Hands down the best tote for the camping and rafting that I have come across. What ever the size for one's needs, the ActionPacker does the job keeping essential gear organized and readily available. Add a few strips of two sided tape foam to the inside of lip of the top, and voila, pretty darn water proof.
