Return to Form

Many of the reviews here are a few years old. It seems Rocky has listened. Received my boots this week and while I have yet to wear them for a long period, the small time I tried to break them in a bit at home they are very comfortable. Materials and craftsmanship are very good and it seems they have gone back to a robust YKK zipper. All in all a solid boot at this price point. A similar style Corcoran is $100 more.

Good look, falling quality

I loved this boot. But man: the quality is awful now. I've always worn these boots, every day since about 2015. The quality has dropped consistently every time I buy new. I'm in IT, I hike, and they see snow; I do condition and clean the boots. They fit, they look nice, but they more or less fall apart in a year or two. Not a great booy anymore, just a boot.

Great boot

After wearing the boots constantly I love them. Unfortunately the zipper gave out after nearly 2 years of wear. Overall great boot and extremely comfortable

Decent with potential

The boots look great but did not last very long. After 4-5 months of normal use, they began to crack at the foots outer bend area on both boots.

HEAVY & TIGHT

These boots are HEAVY & Tight for my feet. It will cause or exacerbate a bunion if you are experiencing this medical condition. I know of one who worked in SWAT & had to get surgery to correct his bunion blaming the boots he was wearing as cause of it. They look really nice and professional BUT in the end it’s really about comfort.

Amazing professional looking boot!!!

This is probably the 4th or 5th pair of these boots I have purchased and will continue to purchases these as long as I am wearing uniform type boots. They are easily broken in and can be a little uncomfortable until they are broken in but feel like tennis shoes once they are. They are very sturdy and comfortable and the zipper lasts as long as the rest of the boot. I have only had to order new ones each time because of wearing the sole down to literally nothing.

Great quality

I have two pair of these boots one with insulation for winter and one without for summer. I have put many miles on these boots and could not be happier with their quality.

Why did I get this email ten years later?

I bought these boots over ten years ago. I have no idea why I only just now got an email for a review. They served me well through four years of disaster relief and EMS.

Very durable

I bought a pair and they actually lasted me for about 1and a half years ,2yrs if you take care of them by shinning them and not wearing them in too harsh of environments.

Can you do better

Very badly made. When you lace up the boot the inside has parts that rub into your skin

Broken on 1hrs day

Bought these for work as an infantryman, the toe caps of both boots Shatered ON THE FIRST DAY WEARING THEM. These are cosplay boots they are not meant to be worn outside. Save your money boys, this one ain't it, it's a shame.

Sizing is way off

I’ll be honest, I’m not sure how to accurately review these boots. Followed the suggested guide and got advice from others who ordered. Went with my shoe size and they’re about 2 sizes too big. If the sizing is this inaccurate quality instantly in question.

Rocky 2090 boots

I have been wearing these boots for years. With no cartridge in my knees I can still walk 3 miles with these on, barely 1 in tennis shoes.

problem with zipper

i bought a pair and wore them home. when i unzipped them to take them off, the zipper didn't go down far enough. i had to unlace them. defeating the purpose of the zipper. very disapointed

Still the same?

I bought a pair of 10" side zipper jump boots, (style 2090), approximately 30 years ago. They held up wonderfully and when they developed a split (which probably wouldn't have happened if I oiled the leather) in them that would have cost the same amount to fix as purchasing a new pair, I did just that.
