So easy to install myself. Easy to recharge the battery. Motion detection has been great and I love I can see a wide range of the yard from one camera. Also love being able to communicate thru the camera..

Very nice camera

Installation is easy. It is durable for the out doors. The video quality is nice at day or night time. The battery life is ok. But when it gets cold the battery wears down faster.

Love this ring spotlight. We have 3-4 ring systems all around the house and they are awesome! You can alerts of motion at the camera right to your phone! The video quality is clear too! And they are weather resistant! It’s is easy to install! And this system has a small but decent light! Good battery life too!!

Really must have for your security

Really easy installation, has motion detection, the video quality is really good during the day or night, the battery life last longer than others and depends the how many traffic has. The material is really sturdy and weatherproof

Not recommended.

Stopped working correctly after a year. when I called Ring to fix it or to run a check on it, they said it was my Internet so of course after warranties out it’s still shotty blurred recordings always off-line. We have a new camera that works better than it so I know it’s not the Internet.

Must Have

Great 360° view on corner of my house and 90 feet plus down both streets by my house. Definitely needs the Solar Charger for 24/7 power without having to charge the battery pack. Links easily with all the other Ring Cams and Smart Lights for a home security system without having to pay monthly fees for monitoring. All my neighbors have Ring Cams or are getting Ring Cams for their home security.

Better then most

Had several types of security cameras and found the spotlight camera by ring is a good one. Just wished the spotlight was brighter. Great pictures and like setting fields of view and motion.

Effective deterrent and I feel safer

Almost everyone on our block has a ring camera (or 5). We live in a safe neighborhood but around the holidays we get package snatchers and also sometimes people come here to steal catalytic converters because lots of people have EV’s. Great camera

This is a great camera with easy installation. The images are clear and I love the motion activated light. I use this outside my home to watch our driveway/yard and it works well. I took away one star because the battery life is terrible. I purchased a second battery and still find myself having to charge it very frequently. May work better in an area with less activity but that’s where I need mine.

Ring wins!

To me, Ring and the ecosystem of products does home security best. I use to think Arlo was best, but after using Ring my opinion quickly changed. app is user friendly and I love the snapshot feature. I would recommend Ring over other security systems.

Comes in handy

My mom has these at her house. She can watch when she is away at work on her cell phone. This also not only records any movement. That also has a microphone that you can talk through to whoever is in your yard near your home. She loves it.

My favorite Spotlight

I have two of the spotlight wireless cameras at home. I think it isa great camera and have had no issues with it. Once in a while it gives me a message that the wifi has a weak signal but other than that it is worth every penny.

Do not buy in if you live in cold weather

Already reviewed that the batteries last a week in cold weather. I do bring in and charge (pain to get a ladder out in snow) but my point was/is....RING should say that the battery does not last in cold weather or extreme heat on the box. So after spending over $200 on device and extra battery, the suggestion is to spend more on a solar panel. The response link is not helpful. It only tells me what I found out the hard way, which is you have to charge batteries often in Michigan. Ugh! THAT shoul...
