What Customers Are Saying
The inverter had mixed reviews, with some users reporting reliable performance in powering RVs, trailers, and cabins, and appreciating the high AC output, quiet operation, and solar power compatibility. However, a significant number of customers experienced issues with the inverter failing after a short period of use, often within weeks or months, with problems such as sudden shutdowns and wiring issues. The high failure rate and poor customer service experiences reported by many customers suggest this may not be a durable long-term option for off-grid power needs.

2 weeks and still no order update. REALLY!
Order placed 11-21-23. Today is 12-05-23. Lowes web site says it's "shipped". I signed up for text message & email updates and have received nothing.
Powerful quiet inverter
Would RecommendI’ve had this inverter mounted in my 2022 Rockwood 2883WS for just about a year. I have 4x100ah Renogy lithiums wired to it, along with the factory 1500w inverter. When I need more power I plug my shore power into this inverter and kill my converter. On a recent trip to Lawsons Landing Ca we camped for 4 days this way, running microwave, electric water heat (at times) and coffee makers. Never even touched the generator. I have 800w on top of the trailer. This setup is bad to the bone for us, and...

simple power and versatile!
Would RecommendThis is a monster of Inverter, I used this to run my Amateur Radio Station(Ham Radio) and accessories. I need to add a second battery for those cloudy days but other than this Renogy recommends 2 (two) 170-ah batteries are dead on! Get this if you want to have reserve power for your 120v needs and with its 6000 watts surge this can run a lot of gear or equipment.

Powerful Inverter!
I’ve installed my 3000w inverter as part of the Renogy 400w solar package and so far am very happy with the system. It’s great to have access to my AC outlets when away from shore power, and I can even run my 13.5k btu A/C for short periods if I start slow. I look forward to a full test on my extended trip next month.

Big but good.
Would RecommendI was almost going to get the 2000w inverter but last minute decided to go with this 3000W unit and am happy I did. with 400 ah of battery and 400w of solar this inverter has no problem running my fridge and AC all day off the batteries and solar power. with a full charge on the batteries and no solar I can get about 8 hours of run time before my batteries get low enough to worry. great unit not a lot of heat comes from this. and its quit. granted I have this mounted under the floor but even whe...

GFCI problem
I installed this in my boat and had a huge problem because the GFCI kicks out at 5 milliamp. This is so low that I actually had to open the inverter to bypass the GFCI to make it work on my boat.

Great mid size inverter
Would RecommendThis is the second of these units I have owned. The first one went in an area of my boat that had condensing salty moisture. This one lasted only a year and upon opening it, there was a lot of corrosion inside. Now I have it under a seat on the inside of the 46 foot boat. Having a 120 volt standard refrigerator out in the Bahamas, I need to run it 24/7. I was having all sorts of trouble with the ground fault tripping, but found that all of it went away when I removed the galvanic isolator. Being...

Great unit
I bought this a year ago to power my Truck camper for off grid. I happy with the unit, my only quam is that the spec's should include how many amps it draws from a 12 volt battery and booklet that comes with it should include the correct wire size that should be used and the correct amperage fuse that should be used between the inverter and battery.

AC connection update
Update to a recent review. I used a yellow 10/12 gauge ring terminal (smallest size) and clipped the sides until it fit into the attachment point. To enable the protective cap to be installed, I clipped it to fit over the yellow sleeves. I fell now I have a secure and safe connection. I used 10 gauge single copper wires for my connection.

Instruction manual not the best.
I didn't like that no cables came with it.

Poor AC connections
Would Not RecommendI bought the 3000W 12V Pure Sine Wave Inverter SKU: RNG-INVT-3000-12V-P2-US. The three screws connections for attaching the AC input are too close together to allow bent 10/2 wires. They are also too small to attach the yellow 10 AGW spade clamps that fit onto the 10/2 wires. The screw connections only have room for the red, smaller gauge wire spade clamps, which of course are too small to carry a 3000 watt load. I contacted Renogy for assistance asking to know how their technical design team co...

High AC output
Would RecommendI installed this 3000 watt unit with 200ah Lithium battery and 200 watts solar on the roof in my foodtrailer to power my main 50 amp panel by using the high AC output, mainly when im traveling between events. I wired a 30amp 120v cable to the high output and it works great for my 2 commercial prep top refrigerators , 2 beverage fridges, and commercial freezer on constantly. I have used the Air conditioner and food warmers all at the same time with no issues. Im thinking of buying a 2nd one for t...

3000 Watt Pure Sine Wave Inverter
Would RecommendGreat inverter with 400 watts of solar and 400 Ah batteries (AGM). Installed in my RV and we used it during our winter trip to Arizona! Question: What is the EMF rating of the inverters from Renogy? Our Inverter is under the bed!
