I love the cushion for my 65QT cooler but the straps broke in less than 1 season. very disappointed because this cushion gave great extra seating and looked so good when it was new but didn't last 4 months for us.

I love the cooler and the cushion; I was very disappointed when the straps on the cushion broke. I was surprised when I received the cushion, that it had straps and not snaps. The straps didn't last 6 months. I hoped that the research and development team would have found a fix for this. The strap also breaks the seal on the rubber gasket. Bad design. I know you can do better.

I have many rtic products and this is by far the worse made thin stitching to strap. I had it for about 4 months with this being the 4th use and it broke with normal use. Now i have to modify it using a ton of velcro. Cushion holds water btw.

Cushion is great. Straps turn to dust in less than a year.
I really loved this cushion. It felt durable, fit great, and was super comfortable. The straps didn't last a whole season. They didn't break they seem to rot and turn to dust, apparently from UV rays. Since there's no way to attach it to the lid, it's now useless on a boat.

Bought this cushion on 5/23/23 and the straps that hold it down have completely deteriorated and tore apart. RTIC has a cheeky 90 day warranty on accessories and gear so there’s no way to make it right. They say “durable” and yes maybe for the cushion itself (so far)but the part you need to make it work is absolute garbage. Seriously RTIC how much can you really be saving by not using a decent nylon strap?! I have ratchet straps and crappy deer stand straps that are 10+ years old. So yes it’s mu...

Great cushion iffy fastening method
Solid cooler cushion and a great deal. But does compromise the air tight nature of the cooler and fastening straps get dirty with fish in the cooler.

Nice cushion but....
It is a nice, firm cushion that fits the cooler perfectly except for the way it straps on. In order to attach the cushion you have to wrap the straps around under the lid which compromises the seal of the cooler. The lid still closes but the seal obviously isn't flush with the cooler anymore. I would think over time, the seal would conform to the straps therefore degrading the overall performance. Thus making my beer NOT icy cold! Great concept, poor design.
