Would Not RecommendGood Closet or Hallway light for sure. 60w max, but you can use an LED version of up to 100w for more brightness and, of course less wattage. However, because it's only a one bulb fixture - you can tell the light is brighter on one side because the bulb socket is in the center of the fixture and bulb (when screwed in) will be a little off to one side. So - wouldn't suggest it for a high-profile area as the light will look uneven when looking directly at the fixture. But met my needs for a typica...
