Needs lots of direct sun to function.
Would Not RecommendIt really needs a lot of intense, direct sunlight to work because it has a "standby mode," which mean it is on all the time at night -- low light -- and then brightens with motion. That could have been clearer on the box packaging as I thought I was getting a device that was completely on, or completely off with motion. I installed this in an area that get partial sun and it couldn't get enough of a charge.

Would RecommendIt comes on at dark and goes out at sunrise. The previous version came on with motion , and was dark all other times. For insect control during warm months, I needed the dark / lights with motion version, which is apparently no longer available.
