Would Not RecommendThey last about 9 months. I have 2 large dogs and they go in and out a reasonable amount. I just ordered another pne of these and I am super frustrated because they don't last. I wish I could change to another pet door but I already cut a hole in my door for this one to fit. I would stay away from Petsafe doors.

Easy to order and replace- wish I'd done it sooner
Would RecommendI almost ordered a whole new door but then thought to look and see if the flap could be replaced. So glad I did - it was easy to find out which flap I needed based on the number of screws and so easy to install the old and replace with the new. It first there were a little warping on the side which didn't close fully but as the flap hung it flattened itself out.

Would Not RecommendWe got a Larson storm door with the petsafe dog door. If there is a slight breeze, the flap opens. It was an absolute waste of money. I don’t know why such an expensive door would have such a poorly made dog door in it.

Door is great, instructions not so much
Would RecommendI have to admit that I'm not a great DIYer. I really need good instructions! The instructions that came with the replacement door didn't resemble the door set up that's on my porch, so it took me over an hour to figure out how to replace it. I finally did, and it's worth it, but I do wish it was easier.

Would RecommendMy husband installed ours about 3 years ago. I have 2 large (60 pounds each) Shetland sheepdogs. They fly through that flap a hundred times a day. If you know Shellie’s, you know the slightest or imagined noise gets them running. I am just now thinking of a replacement flap because of one very small ( about 2 inches) break on the one bottom side. This has worked great for me.

Destructive doggies
Would RecommendAwesome Flaps. My dogs have killed 2 of them already, but they last a good long time with regular use, I have 4 dogs, that's 4 x's the destructive power and it still holds up really well.
