Red dye might be harmful to hummingbirds
Would Not RecommendThis food contains red coloring. Based on my research, it's definitely not necessary to attract hummingbirds, and there is some evidence the red dye might actually harm the birds. The CEO of this company said the research is not conclusive, but I did notice this company started offering a clear version of this food. That indicates to me there's enough evidence to start offering a version without the dye. I took this one back and traded it for the clear option.
