Reviewed many heat guns online mainly for heat shrinking wiring connectors. Seemed to be a quality product and when received as a gift confirmed it's made of quality materials. Works great for my use. Hopefully it will last a long time.

Works Really Well

I wanted this heat gun to remove the shoe polish from my work boots and to help re-apply fresh. This gun made this very easy. I wanted this gun to avoid using a lighter on the leather of my boots. I expect to use this gun for other things in the future as the need arises. I would recommend this gun for sure. I did read over the instructions before using it (yes, I know I broke the man code), but that really was not needed. Very easy to operate with the adjustable heat and 2 speeds.

This thing won’t die

So I had originally bought this product 4 years ago to fix my wife’s laptop since it had a glass front screen that you can only take off by applying heat to the adhesive glue and that’s all I had used it for. Fast forward to today 4 years later I use this to start and maintain fires in my fire pit. Quality product

I like the heat control on the side rather than at the back and the ability to control the heat and fan separately. Quality product. Fast shipping.

For occasional use it works great.

Nice high air flow but if you use it every day it will not hold up. We burnt out two so far. We use it to heat heat shrink on wiring harnesses. The unit lasts less than a year.

8 years, countless drops, 4 summers in truck bed

Got this back in 2012, used it 30-40 times a day, mostly at low temp to vaporize cannabis and took it with me to almost all my friends houses. It's a great heat gun. I really like the adjustable heat settings. It is just what I was looking for.

I previously owned a Milwaukee heat gun that died so I replaced it with this Porter Cable gun. My new gun is miles ahead of the old one. The heat control function works perfectly. Now I can set the temp to minimum (Off) & set the gun on it's back stand, with the blower on to cool it off. Before, I had to wait a long time for cooling before I could store the gun in a drawer. A good product and great value.

I’ve used it only once thus far, for about 15 minutes. It worked perfectly, including effective airflow and temperature controls. Using a laboratory-grade temperature-measuring device, the unit produced a maximum of approximately 900 degrees F, more than adequate for my purposes. Seems to be a great value!

Works, nice deal at 20$

For 20$ it's a deal. Air flow even at fan speed 2 is not great but it gets fairly hot and can be dialed back to warm. Not bad
