Bought this set a few years ago. Works fine except it's extremely difficult to locate circular saw blades (5 1/2). Porter cable doesn't seem to care. Definitely not the PC I used to deal with!

Good set of tools

I got this a few months ago. Used it quite a few times. The only complain i have for this set is the circular saw blade is pretty expensive. Its seem like they dont make saw this size very much. I found myself paying almost $20 for the saw blade at Lowes and not much option among brand. I would go for the 7 inch one since it is more common and you get more option among brand.

Good tools at a reasonable price

I've had this set for about a month and have used each of the tools a couple of times now. They are very efficient with battery consumption -- pruning small tree limbs with the reciprocating saw used up the small included batteries in about twenty or thirty minutes, compared to the same time with a 4.0 ah battery with a Makita. They're lightweight but well-made. The flashlight is also extremely bright and a nice addition to the "real" tools.

Nice affordable tool set that gets the job done.

Porter Cable 4 pc combo

Great deal we got this on clearance For a little over $100 I was surprised the circular saw is left handed but you can see what you are cutting more easily. The saber saw is pretty perfect for the jobs we need it for ( cutting up bath tub & cutting off old decking) Having the 2 batteries is a huge plus so you can work with one while the other is charging!

Tools are OK

The tools are fine for light DIY work with wood not more than 2". I was replacing my light use drill and saw this with a saws-all. This is an OK set, but you may not be able to use the bag. The ban i got the zipper split the cloth, not just separate the teeth. These are on a shelf now. The tools i can recommend for light work.

Drill chuck wobble horrible

I bought this set of tools last Christmas while on sale and thought porter cable was still a good quality tool. The chuck wobbles is so bad on the drill that you can barely drill a straight hole in a 2x4 let alone something needing more accuracy. One of my favorite purchases

This was my Christmas present to myself, & I've loved it for the entire almost-four-years I've had it since. I've also added the sander & jigsaw. I'm not a professional craftsman, & I might only use this every other weekend, but it has NEVER disappointed me, regardless of the tool I've used. The batteries last "forever," & have always had sufficient power to do what I needed. Very well made tools however the batteries weak

Batteries will not hold a charge and are very weak. We are planning on returning this kit as it can not perform the work we need in our home.

Porter Cable Tools

I have been using porter cable tools for at least 10 yrs. I purchased this set for my son in laws birthday. He loves the porter cable brand as much as i do. He had never used them before but was very surprised at the battery life and how well the tools performed. Dewalt and Craftman have nothing on this brand.

circular saw is trash

It saddens me to say porter cable’s quality has gone downhill. The circular saw is trash. The lower guard stopping peg broke after 30 mins of light use. Lower guard is also flimsy. The plate does not hold true angle. The sawzall feels cheap and blade holder wobbles. The drill and light didnt see use from me. Great set

I already had the impact and drill set. So happy my battery from my original set worked with this one. I also like that I can adjust the light angle.

Combo set

Great set for the money. More geared towards the average homeowner than towards a contractor. Reciprocating saw and circular saw are smaller than average.

Good price

Christmas present. Five stars for a good price and quality that is known for the brand. Haven’t used this particular set but have used these tools in the past which is why i was confident giving them as a gift.

Know what YOU need...this kit is GREAT but limited

TOO MANY reviews here whining. First, a 5.25-inch circular saw is NOT made for 2x stock. It's for 1x at the max, and more for thinner plywoods and drywall. If you need to cut 2x stock (more than 1 or 2) get a 7.5-inch circular saw...corded. It takes a lot of juice to cut through wood---especially if its wet/new.
