I have had this kayak for about a week now and I have used it five times already. this kayak is so easy to use, easy to carry, easy to get in and out of. I can grab the kayak, dry bag , paddle, water bottle and life jacket in one trip from car to the water. no going back and forth to carry everything or having to use a dolly. I have been going to work with the kayak in the car and after I get off work hit the water in 10 minutes and kayak for a few hours. Love this kayak. I have a perception t...

We love our Oru Kayak!
I bought my husband the black Inlet kayak and got the white one for myself. We took them out for the first time last weekend, and it was smooth sailing! They’re incredibly lightweight, easy to carry, and glide beautifully on the water—we had such a great time. After about an hour, the seats did start to feel a bit uncomfortable, so I’ll be ordering the gel seat upgrades soon. Setup and takedown were a bit of a challenge at first (it took us about 40 minutes to get both kayaks ready), but now tha...

It works!
After 52 years of experience with canoes and kayaks we got old enough that it is now pretty hard to hoist those boats around, so we decided to try two Inlets. Pros: easy to assemble, easy to carry, fairly easy to maneuver, easy to pack up. Cons: if you have a bad back be careful about trying to shift that backrest while paddling, as it is really easy to knock it completely loose and a little hard to get it back in its notch while paddling. Also, even with the addition of the memory foam seat you...

I love this Kayak!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used my Oru Inlet 6 times on calm protected ponds in Boise, ID and on a lake with choppy water from boats and wind and it has worked great! This is easy to get in and out of at the shore in about a foot of water! It is stable and doesn’t feel like I am going to tip over. The seat is comfortable! I used it for 3 hours and my butt did not hurt. This Kayak is a great conversation starter people want to ask me about it, and I like tha...

Fun on the lake
I have taken my kayak out on the lake several times already. It tracks well and is easy to assemble. I have used a regular sea kayak but can’t lift it to carry on my car. I also have an inflatable, but wanted something more sturdy and better in the wind. The Oru seems perfect for me so far.

Love our new Inlets!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are “seniors” learning to kayak for the first time. We love our new Oru Kayak “Inlet” kayaks. Easy to set up and put away, easy to transport, and wonderful for paddling around.

My First Oru
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is easier to assemble and disassemble than the vids show - it is super easy and definitely the best for busy urban people. I love my Oru.

Inlet
I love it! It’s easy to assemble and break down. Best of all, it’s easy to lift and carry. Also, convenient to transport in my car.

Very fun boat!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve wanted an Oru for a couple of years and finally bought one — no regrets! The Inlet is easy to set up and put away, is comfortable to sit in, tracks well, and moves along at a good clip. I had planned to buy a Lake but went for the Inlet and I’m glad I did. It feels very spacious and is almost more like a one-person canoe. I love being able to go for a paddle so much more easily now. It seems sturdy and well made. The only flaw is one strap...

Just love it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great invention. It is so easy to store, transport, assemble, navigate, and dissemble. I immediately got the second one so that I can enjoy it with my friends. I weigh 130 pounds and I use it with a seven year girl 50 pounds and a Chihuahua 10 pounds. It was so stable and we love the experience. I definitely recommend recommended to all who were thinking about the new adventure with kayaks. Thank you and congrats to the team.

Oru Inlet
Took my Oru Inlet for its first run. I had to wait for the ice to melt enough (Northeast Connecticut). I am very impressed. It was easy to assemble and disassemble and was extremely maneuverable on the water.

Inlet Kayak is compact and fun
The Inlet is great fun to paddle on small inland lakes and rivers. It takes up very little space when folded, and is quick and easy for one person to set up. One tiny nit to pick: the bulkheads are a little tricky to position. I’ve marked the bottoms of mine with dots to help align them, and it would be helpful for the setup instructions to be clearer about where the tops of the bulkheads should line up. Perhaps alignment marks could be added to the skin at both top and bottom. I am very happy w...

Initial Review of Bill's Inlet
Overall I am happy with my Inlet. I have taken it out on Lake Tahoe and on a local lake/river near Sacramento. I will share some comments. 1. Shipping and pricing. No one likes to pay shipping. You should just include shipping in cost of the kayak. Also, it really does not feel right to pay sales tax in both Imperial County and then again in Sacramento County. 2. Assembly. It came together and broke down pretty much as anticipated, and of course there is a learning curve. There is one fold, whic...

So far so good
After a few years of looking and thinking and being a bit concerned about the price, I finally decided which kayak I wanted - and then which Oru model made the most sense. I had originally thought I wanted the Bay for the closed sitting area, but went with the Inlet. My use will be less "sporty" and more recreational and the open area seemed fine. I have now taken her on her maiden voyage at a small lake near me. I first spent the time needed to figure out how to put her together in my living ro...

Love my remarkable folding kayak!
The inlet kayak I bought is even better than I was expecting .. it is so light and agile in the water and seriously takes only a couple minutes to put together and fold back up after I have enjoyed my paddle. I also bought the light paddle and the splash guard that besides adding drip protection from the paddle is adds a classy look to my new kayak. So happy that I indulged and bought it..

Good, not great
It doesn't track that well, but it is light, folds up easily, and is a good beginner / recreational option.

Love it, but the strap
