Does not work as advertised

I refinished our kitchen cabinets with this paint because it’s stated on the label EXTREME HIDING POWER - FOR EXCEPTIONAL COVERAGE. After three coats the wood grain kept coming through. Followed manufacturers surface preparation. Maybe they should state that it won’t work on kitchen cabinets. I normally use a competitors brand. Don’t think I’ll choose this brand or paint again.

A huge waist of time and money

I had bought the large 620 fl. oz. to paint my house. Lucky the previous owners had already primed the walls. I painted the walls with two coats as recommended. When I finished I noticed ugly splotches of discoloration all over my walls. I thought I may be able to cover them by painting on another coat, but I noticed it only left more ugly splotches. I feel I must have gotten a bad batch of paint, mainly because of the bad experience I had with this paint I went and got another brand to finish m...

Poor coverage extremely thick paint

I purchased Olympic one paint and primer in a dark green for a bedroom previously painted antique white. I was told it would only require 1 coat... Not the next day you can see the original color coming thru....

Never again..

After 3 coats I still have uneven spots and bleed thru.. this brand was a complete waste of my time and money.. I will be going back to get a brand that delivers on its promise..

Poor Adhesion Still Tacky After 7 days

I do not recommend this paint. I used the semi-gloss. I painted my cabinets 7 days ago and they are still tacky. The paint pulled off when I opened the doors and/or drawers as well. I read that temperature and humidity is a factor so I have had the dehumidifier running for the past 3 days. The humidity stays at 30-32% and the temperature 74. Still tacky.

Great for kitchen cabinets!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I took on the major project of painting my kitchen cabinets this year. I read so many positive reviews on Olympic One, I gave it a shot. I am so impressed with this paint. It has now been 4 months and my cabinets are still beautiful. I have 5 and 2 year old boys so our house is messy, and loud with dirty on top. The easy wipe down with water makes life so easy too. I love this paint and plan to purchase for my next project as well!

Bad paint

I’ve never worked with paint this bad, and I’ve painted a lot. it was a mess and complete waste of time and money!

Lowes paint dept.

Lowes paint department tells me how great Olympic One Is and how it covers in one coat, well after 2 double rolled coats with a high end nap still bleeding through. Sorry I bought into his hype going back to Behr or Ben Mor paints. At least one more coat will cover my walls. 30 plus years of high end residential painting shows we can still do dumb things.

Olive Green

Easy to use. Odorless great for me and my pets. Easy clean up. Looks amazing in my dining room.

Light Sage

Glides on smoothly. Color is true to swatch. Easy application and dries quickly. Love that it only takes one application to achieve complete coverage.

Gray

Great coverage, very durable. Easy to clean and won't wear off. Only brand I buy!

Emerald Green

The paint gave good coverage. The only disappointments were it started chipping fairly early on so it wasn't as durable as we had hoped. Nor was it as washable as we needed it to be.

Black

Used it on exterior concrete window sills and porch columns. Went on beautifully and holding-up real nice. Recommend this paint.

Cool grays

I went through several greys and found a nice cool gray. The price on Olympic was he best of all. I decided to try Olympic because of that. I love how easily it went on. I thought I'd need to do a second coat because red and peach are underneath, but it covered it completely. Honestly I think I should do a second coat just for the finish. But I'm satisfied with how it looks so I'm not going to I was afraid it might be too thin but it covered very well. As the price was so good, I'll be going ...

Cool slate

Great paint! Used this lighter color paint and it had no problems covering a darker color with one coat.

Heavenly blue

Extrodinary paint. I have two bedrooms and a livingroom with this paint product. I have also used this in a bathroom and so far no mold in 3 years. Two coats does wonders when doing a color change or else a single coat is enough with white to off white/creams conversion and etc. I am going to do the master bedrooms mext! I prefer a flat ceiling and eggshell/satin walls depending on traffic and stain requirements and this product delivers.

White

Was highly recommended by Lowes associate..Used two different sheens (satin and eggshell) for wood trim. Primed first with bin primer. White in both cases. Coverage on first coat very poor, second coat barely adequate. Bought another brand and covered very well on first coat. In fact used other brand as fist coat (primer) and then second coat gave excellent coverage

Aqua Smoke

If you have used Behr, Sherwin-Williams or Porter paint in an effort to find the best one coat coverage and superb durability, look no further. I use to think the more you pay the better the quality. Olympic brand paints have proved me wrong.
