The product information is very deceptive. I primarily purchased this camera because of its ability to remotely operate and move the camera, which the product description does not mention is only available as a stand-alone feature. The stand-alone setup is not user-friendly.

Glitchy

This camera works yes but is a let down since it has glitches and could use a spotlight as well as battery backup for power outages.

Worthless

Moved cameras 2 different locations. MIGHT see movement of cars or people 1/3 of time. Longtime Night Owl system owner. VERY disappointed

stay away

camera range terrible. i mean very bad. lags to see live video. on occasion it drops 1 camera, cannot change certain settings. battery dies very fast. sometimes people pass by and it wont record. changed settings to high and still no luck. get a wired one. forget this wireless junk. no worth it. i returned my 8 camera wired because i didn't want to go in the addict , biggest mistake of my life.

Exactly what i needed

I have Night owl in my home and outside no issues ever and I don't pay any monthly fees these work great for me thank you

Camera Range is Terrible

We have had this for about a month, even got two additional cameras. It's used in a large open room with a camera in each corner. The space is like 600 square feet and the cameras have less than one bar, except the camera closes to the recording unit, which is right next to our wifi router. The recorder is hooked up to the wifi router via a lan cable, as recommended. More that 75% of the time, we cannot access our video feeds due to connectivity issues. poor preformance

I have been using 8 wireless camera system for several years. System picks up trees, grass, weeds and everything as human. I finely just turned off recording and notification for humans. No updates have made any improvements. my wireless solar camera will only record 7 seconds even though it is set for 30 seconds, it misses vehicles and object that are moving feet in front of the camera. 7 seconds max record time,(very poor, no updates for fix). lot of poor reviews for same issues I am expe...

DO NOT BUY

I have had this system less than 6 months and even signed up for cloud storage. Today at about 6 AM it stopped recording anything. No push notifications, no video stored, but everything else is operational. I will be canceling my cloud account and disposing of the system as I am tired of having issues with this garbage.

NEEDS ETHERNET PORT IN YOUR ROUTER FOR SETUP.

Cant say if it's good or not as I have no ethernet port to set it up. Had to give it away.

Night owl 10 camera system

I bought this system about a week ago is it is a little glitchy but other that that it works really well.

4k 4 camera

You use a hdd or sd card I work in the IT industry and I deal with wired and wireless and this important. Makes me feel like I own it instead of renting with the subscription. These are 2k and have a great quality picture.

Best of the legacy cameras

The 140 ultra wide angle view is far superior to the standard 80, especially if you are monitoring the sidewalk and street outside your building. The latter is useful indoors, but I would choose all ultra wides for anything outdoors.

Easy to install

This system is great. I didn't need to contact anyone to install it. Everything plugs in easily and is ready to go. I would say its got be one of the easiest things i've ever installed at my home. App was up and running in no time and now I get a great video feed of my property.

A great system for the price and easy installation

Took the leap and bought this new item from Night Owl and was pleasantly surprised at the overall ease in installation and coverage I now have of home. Most systems cost a lot more than this so I was a bit nervous about the quality. Happy that I bought this and have felt better about my security in the 2 weeks I've now had this.

Great at protecting my driveway and backyard

Have been looking for these to add to my system. Setup was easier than expected. Use existing light wiring for power, but connect to system via Wi-Fi. I like knowing that the motion triggers will turn the lights on and the system will record activity. A good way to deter people from trespassing/loitering. Bought a yard sign as well for additional deterrent.

Perfect lighting

I installed one of these above my garage and the lighting and video quality is exactly what i need. The installation was relatively simple. I just needed a good lighting system that can record anyone near my garage but also light the way when I'm heading toward the garage itself.

Exterior secured

I love my new Night Owl Floodlight. Being able to receive Human and Vehicle detections for when someone is outside is just what I need when I am in my home. Love it!

Solid value for the money.

I bought this system after my last one was stolen, and was pleasantly surprised at how far security camera systems have improved. The picture on these 1080 cameras is excellent, set up was fairly easy. While the basic wifi camera has a decent angle, I much prefer the ultra wide angle camera for covering a much larger area. While this system is refurbished, I didn't notice a lack of quality, everything looked brand new. There was one problem, the HDMI outlet failed after 2 days of operation, and ...

They are nice.....when they work.

I should have bought a wired system. They are continually dropping the signal then coming back at random. I have the Night Owl DVR that came with 8 cameras. I bought these last two to complete the system. The picture quality is great. However, all 10 cameras drop the signal at random. This makes the "security" cameras not so secure. It is not a range problem. The one that drops the most is less than 15 feet from the DVR. As I am typing this 3 out of the 10 cameras are offline. The monitor says "...
