Would Not RecommendWas checking the water quality in our house to see how the softener was doing. Reported all "OK" results on the Six Test strip for the house. To compare, used the tap that was installed ahead of the softener and got identical results. We installed the softener because had seen the effects of the severely hard water supplied by the city, so there should have been some difference. The test; it does nothing.

Would RecommendThis review is in regard to the $10.98 kit. Follow directions for timing and align the test strip with the color chart to find the water quality levels. This inexpensive test does not test a couple of issues that can be detected by smell. For those, you need a more expensive test to determine those levels. This did what the package said and was easy to do.

Would Not RecommendVery basic test, simple to use, HOWEVER, it is difficult to read colors effectively and test result sheet suggests Chlorine levels over 3ppm are unsafe, which is NOT true according to the FDA, which limits domestic water to 4ppm of Chlorine as perfectly safe.

Not precise for hardness. pH useless.
Would Not RecommendHardness scale is either 0 or 100 is the next level up. The colors are hard to differentiate in the first place so hard to know how hard your water actually is. The pH color we tested twice and both times the color was not even close to fitting on the scale. Totally different colors. The rest of the tests seemed useful.
