Would Not RecommendJammed for a couple months. Installed 2/14/23. I have two sinks in my kitchen and this disposal get used very little. I tried to unjam with a wooden spoon. Did nothing but to mess up the spoon. Called Moen. They sent the unjamming tool which is used from the top. I tried in both directions quite a few times. Frozen fast. Removed the rubber insert and used a high intensity flashlight to look for anything that might be causing the jam. Ran a wooden shish kabob stick around the outside. Can see not...

This unit came with our new house. It’s already locked up 3 times in under 3 weeks from very lite use. Don’t waste your money on it.

Great warranty service from Moen
Would RecommendMy 2 year old Moen garbage disposal (new construction, supplied by builder) suddenly failed recently. I had low expectations that the "limited warranty" would be of any use, but I was pleasantly surprised. After a quick call to Moen, they shipped me a replacement unit and provided the phone number of their service partner. They arrived this morning and replaced the disposal. Cost to me - zero. Aggravation to me - minimal. Fantastic customer service!

Simple disposal for the average home's use
Would RecommendThe 1/3hp motor is enough power for cleaning up bits of left over scraps, not meant to dump loads of vegetable peels and meats. This is a smaller sized unit, allowing for better clearance under the sink.

Replacement of original
Would RecommendMy wife was cleaning under our sink and found that our originally installed disposal had developed a leak. I went on line to find a replacement and found the same model as a replacement.. I also this Moen as well. I compared the two and found the GXP33C to have more features and a better warranty than the one originally installed in the house. It was also cost less. I bought it and it fit exactly in place of the original. Works great. Now will wait to see if it lasts longer than the 6 years th...
