Challenging to Install

The installer says that many of the garbage disposals he's installed, come in one piece. So he's able to install those garbage disposal in the space of an hour. But our particular garbage disposal package came in multiple pieces. That's one of the factors that caused the installation to take hours. I should add that our installer has decades of experience. This unit is quiet than our previous 3/4 horsepower garbage disposal.

Unit is very LOUD

Host Series 3/4-HP Continuous Feed Space Saving Garbage Disposal with Sound Reduction is VERY LOUD. Much louder than my 15 year-old In-Sinkerator. I'm very dissatisfiled. I have to use the sink stopper to cut down on noise.

DIY certified! Beautiful, quiet unit! EASY INSTALL

Easy to install and very LIGHT! Makes the under cabinet sink area look so modern and clean. Noise level is rated at medium but I feel it should be rated lower as it's pretty quiet for a 3/4 hp. I do not see an area to use a large allen wrench to release the blades if they get stuck so wondering if this will be a future issue. This is the only reason I embracing a 4 star instead of a 5 star.

Just had this installed yesterday. Looks good. I had seen ratings where this is supposedly one of the quietest models on the market. It was not any quieter than my 7 year old 1/2 ho barracuda.

Original garbage disposal didn't last long at all.

I am putting in a review for our first Moen garbage disposal. We had our kitchen remodeled and the contractors put in the Moen garbage disposal. We didn't have the paperwork to fill in a warranty. The unit did not last long at all, only about 2 1/2 years. I didn't want to get another Moen, but the competitor garbage disposal didn't have a plug for an outlet. I just installed my EX75C Garbage Disposal and it works beautifully.

Great disposal, lasted 4 years but purchased again

It's been a great garbage disposal when it worked, lasted about 4 years and have no proof of purchase to try and warranty it. Just purchased a new one and registered it and kept the receipt just in case it only lasts a few years again.

Slim Profile

It works well enough and we like the relatively slim profile. It is a bit louder than we had hoped it would be.

The garbage disposal was easy to install, the instructions were clear - with good graphics - and the product works well. With a plastic body, it is relatively lightweight, making it easier than other models to handle and manipulate during installation in a small and awkward space under a sink.

Had a Moen before. Replaced our old one that broke with this one, but it seems louder than the other one before it broke.

Do not Buy

Disposer came missing parts. Is a cheap made product and does not include a crank or the ability to use a crank to free a jam when it occurs.Instead they want you to go in the top, Very Unsafe. with a wooden spoon and struggle with it. Or you can pay extra to get the Moen special tool to free jams from the top. I just installed my new Moen garbage disposal by myself - very easy to do.

Easy install

Replaced a worn out Insinkerator and the compatible design of this Moen unit made it really easy. After about a month of use, it seems to work very well. Hopefully it will last as long as our previous unit.
