Would RecommendI've used different types of soil for various yard and garden purposes over the years but this one wins hands down on the strongest odor ever. It's the fertilizer in the soil so it's understandable. HOWEVER, the smell was so strong and pungent that neighbors two houses down could smell it in our raised beds even after a good rain. Mulch is not garden soil
Would Not RecommendPlease watch when buying to make sure it was not made at Grant County Mulch in Petersburg,WV. I have had issues with this garden soil the last two years. If made somewhere else you maybe ok and get the old black gold soil. The soil made at the Grant County mulch plant appears to be just that mulch. I had a few hundred dollars in plants burn up last year as my wife planted them in this soil. Would RecommendI have some of the worst soil (hard red clay) for growing a vegetable garden and I use this yearly for helping enrich the soil and enhancing the plants ability to grow. To call this solely garden soil is slightly inaccurate as is it a mix of soil and nutrient rich ingredients with a bit mulch mixed in.
