My Machine has been in repair for three weeks now

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this three years ago and now we have a problems. The codes are F6 and E1 with service being random with two different local companies. We are in need of repair and have spent over $50 in using a laundry mat. Patience is all we have in waiting for repairs.

HATE IT

Bought this washer on 8/7/2012. Cycles are way too long and it eats the clothes (have found rips, twisted, torn, etc shirts, pants, etc. I had a front loading machine before this and never had a problem. It takes me twice as long to do laundry than in the past since I can't put many clothes in the drum and the cycles take so long. Today (haven't even had the thing 4 years) water starts coming out of the detergent area (and not going into the drum). Came back to water all over the floor. I ...

Horrible washing machine. Do not waste your time buying one.

We had this washer a couple of years now and is a piece of junk.

NOT SATISFIED

I bought this washer 4 years ago. I like that it is energy efficient. I also like that it is water efficient, but I would prefer if I could see water during the wash cycle. Unless there are only a few items in the washer (and I don't fill more that half the drum) all I see during the wash is wet clothes and very little water. Also the cycles are too long. There is the option to use the rapid wash cycle but the normal, white, or other cycles take about an hour or more. 1 hour plus to wash a load...

socks and panties

Poorly designed when socks and other small items get stuck in the window area where the drain holes are. Also it gets moldy there.

Worst machine EVER

I bought this machine about 3.5 yrs ago. So far the front rubber seal has ripped, it's the loudest machine EVER and it started having error codes F9E1. After doing some online research I found that the drain pump on these machines have a tendency to clog up.. If you get Error F9E1 remove the bottom front cover ( three small screws hold it on) then put a large pan under the drain pump access pipe, take off the drain pump plug in front and remove debris... Still hate this washer but I was able to ...

What a piece of junk!

Have had it for 3 years, think I gave it a chance--right now I would sell my soul for an old ringer washer!,

Rips clothing

This washer has been a constant source of frustration. The seal breaks, it eats clothes and is constantly requiring a repair of some sort. I will never buy a Maytag again.

Poor spin cycles

Once again, this machine is incredibly frustrating because it has no stand alone spin cycle and unless you are washing on normal cycle it doesn't spin the water out of your drip dry clothing. Nice and compact with washer/dryer combo. Washes very well, but too often leaves my clothes too wet to put in the dryer. Maytag-create a stand alone spin cycle!!! This model needs it-- the extra rinse cycle has a lousy spin cycle as well, so it doesn't solve the problem.

Avoid this machine if you can

I have owned this machine for 3 years now. I am also on the 3rd front door seal. When the seal wears (and it wears out quickly) it will tear clothes like no other machine I have ever used. I expected more from a Maytag. I know this will be the last front load I ever own. I have owned Maytag machines in the past and have been very happy with them, but this one was a huge disappointment.

Where is Maytag man now?

Raised when maytag man commercials ran and maytag was top of line appliance. After my recent purchase of Maytag 2000 series washer I will never again buy Maytag. Washer was beyond acceptable levels of noise from beginning and now after only couple years bearings are failing, noise is incredible. This was somewhat rush purchase and after running machine and hearing noise I did more research. There are numerous sites where people are complaining of noise and early bearing failure. Not very reliable

Less than 3 years old, F6 E1 error...$670 to fix. This same unit had to have the pump replaced in the first year as it was leaking(this was under warrenty).It seems Maytag equipment is not meant to last for more than 5 years now. In my case, 2 years 9 months. This is terrible. I was a life long Maytag appliance customer(still have maytag dryer, fridge, dish washer and stove).

Worst washer ever!

About a year and a half after purchase, we had to change the motherboard. 6 months later, we had to change the motherboard again so instead we bought another brand.Terrible washer, would not recommend.

Great washer

Bought this with the stacking dryer to replace an older stacked unit. Does a great job cleaning items. Love the features, especially the rapid wash. Super handy for game nights or when you need something washed first thing in the morning.

Not so Happy...

I do not like the fact that I can't choose the amount of time I want the clothes to wash or the water level. If I only want a short 10 min wash there is no option to change/adjust the time......... :(

Silent Duo

Living in an apt. on one floor it was important that our washer/dryer did not make noise and these appliances fit that bill. They are great and I love them. My clothes are clean, smell terrific and the dryer is fast drying.

Great product

This machine does everything we expected it too!!!!

Easy to use and dependable

Love the Quick Wash Cycle. Really does a good wash in the short period of time, which is great when you have kids in sports.
