Love Old School Washer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looking for a washer as close to "Old School" as possible. I didn't like washers with all the electronic controls and were "energy efficient". Last washer I had lasted 23 years. Shopped around and many of the salespeople told me if I got 5 years out of a new washer, I was lucky. False Advertising

I purchased this machine because it was advertised as a commercial-grade appliance for residential use. Just four years later, I’m stuck with a $700 repair bill. I’ve owned $300 washers that have lasted longer! Maytag used to be a company known for quality and durability, but sadly, that’s no longer the case. DO NOT buy this. It’s disappointing to see such a once-great brand decline like this.

Purchase back in 2022 and had few issues within a year. Second year broke down once it fills it will stop working completely.

3 year lifespan

purchased this because Maytag said they use commercial grade parts that would last longer and be more reliable than other brands. it lasted just over 3 years! I called Maytag and they said they wouldn't do anything to help. I'm never buying Maytag again

Falling a part after only 3 years!

The plastic around the top is shredding and coming off, it shakes uncontrollably and I’m so angry I bought a machine that said it was guaranteed to last 10 years and is falling a part after only 3 years

5 times my washer broke down

Everytime it breaks down ir cost me 60-100$ to go to laundromat. Takes weeks for warranty to get somebody here. Now I cannot even get ahold of warranty department. I thought buying a commercial maytag washer was a good thing. I'm so sad and tired if this washer

Basic machine not built with quality standards

We purchased The Maytag Commercial-Grade Residential Agitator Washer is a basic washer with no frills. It does clean our clothes and the tub is larger than our previous washer. There are no extras "perks" on this machine, which is what I thought I wanted. However, there are cons. The presoak feature has a set amount of time which is short and cannot be modified. If you need to soak heavily soiled items for more than the set time, there is no way to modify the time that is built into the mac...

Commerical-Grade

We have this washer in our Veterinary Clinic. We have had it about 2 years and had to have it repaired several times in the last two years. We are on our final repair, once it breaks again, we will have to purchase a new one.

less than 2 years old and already crashing. had many other brands last longer than this one. commercial grade is a scam. parts for this model is the same parts for cheaper model. FALSE ADVERTISING.

Highly Disappointed Customer

Stopped spinning out after ONLY 2 years, 2 months! This is the 3rd appliance purchased from Lowe's that I've had major issues with! The first occurred several months ago. Although I was refunded what I paid for the appliances with the extended warranties, I ended up losing money because the products are more expensive now, only 2 years later. On 09/23/2021 this washer was delivered and installed by Lowe's staff. It's only 11/2023 and the washer does not spin out and makes a loud noise. I file...

Tossed it to the curb after 2 years

We were fully sold on this washer and dryer: 10 year warranty, commercial grade, simple, no electronic controls, made in USA, etc. The dryer was perfect, the washer a major disappointment. After having the repairman out numerous times, and still no agitating/spinning; a replaced motor, capacitor, countless promises 'we fixed it this time' my wife grew tired of the 19 mile trek to the nearest laundromat. Out they both went after a little over two years. No word from Maytag either .
