Simple and quick installation.

Price and I was replaing the same switch that became unusable.

This one dims completely

Works exactly like it should, full dimming. Used it with an incandescent overhead bathroom fixture that we leave on very low during bedtime. Tried using a Leviton switch, it wouldn't dim all the way down, only down to about maybe 35%. So much too bright. Good quality switch, seems to be as good as the one that it replaced that had given us many years of service.

Has not been installed but hope it works. Older models had a pretty gold tiny design in middle of knob which gave it class. This knob is ordinary in appearance.

Excellent value at very reasonable price

Perfect for basic need to dim a chandelier or recessed LED such as we used one for the kitchen LED ceiling lights. Can't go wrong.

Energy waster

The dimmer has a small light adjacent to the shaft. It's invisible behind the switchplate, it just sits there and draws current. A waste of energy, albeit small. Wat is this for? It's also a push on-off switch. I much prefer a rotary on-off. Got this because I was desperate to replace a failing dimmer.

No faceplate! :(

I didn't realize that this didn't come with a faceplate which would have affected my decision to purchase. Works well though.

So easy and useful!

I bought this light "dimmer" (rheostat) for our dining room. We wanted to remove the small light shades, which made the lights too bright - so we needed to be able to dim the lights some. Nice product. It was super easy to install, the price was right and our dining room is complete! Comes with white or beige - that's nice. Used white for now, but if I paint the room I can change the color of the switch.
