Would Not RecommendThe half-sphere of this design makes these particular fire starters difficult to light. Once lit, they burn as expected however getting them lit is nowhere as easy as the packaging suggests. I often times found myself using other methods of getting the fire going, then dropping one of these under a newly placed log to ensure the fire spread. Would RecommendThese fire starters are by far the best I have ever tried. No papers needed you just light them,they light very easily. The wood catches right away, and they burn for about 15 minutes -. I’m sure without the extra paper and additives people use to make a fire begin there will be less creosote buildup. I highly recommend them it will be the only fire starters we use or anyone else that has tried them .I gave these as a gift and everyone loves them.also very inexpensive.
