Great Dryer

We bought this dryer a few years ago and it has been going strong. There are a lot of features that make drying all kinds of articles of clothing quite easy. The drum is rather large and can hold a queen-sized comforter. I like the wrinkle-free tumble option as I do not like to iron my clothes that often. Overall a great machine. I recommend it for the ease of use and the high capacity.

Terrible lint vent design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Soon after we bought this dryer, the lint vent corner melted and never laid flush in the machine again. We had clothes every cycle getting caught on this corner and would wind themselves around it. We have had clothes ruined because of it. The entire lint trap needed to be replaced, as many other people had the same exact problem.

great washer and dryer!

I have had mine for almost 7 yrs, one minor repair but as long as you keep them clean and air them out they will sound like new

drying time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the timed dry as it is the best way to get the clothes fully dried. When using other settings some things came out still damp, but by using timed dry the dryer stayed hot until the end of cycle. This is especially nice if you want a warm blanket after a cold day outside.

Lint filter design flaw

This is the 3rd dryer I have owned in 40+ years. It is not 2 years old and I am on my 3rd lint filter. The right hand edge does not seat properly and catches clothing and twists them into knots if it doesn’t shred them. Clearly a design flaw. The 1st replacement the reluctantly provided at no charge - but it took 2 weeks to get it. They said they could only do that once - clearly a calculated limit on how much they are willing to spend on a design flaw on a premium product. Someone should star...

Lint trap terror

After 5 of my tank tops were destroyed during wash we found out that the lint trap does not line up correctly in the unit, causing multiple articles of clothing to get caught and torn/ripped.

Dangerous Gas Leak

We have to shut it off repeatedly due to gas smell. After watching some YouTube videos online, it appears that this has been a problem with LG Gas dryers in the past--the gas turns off, then back on but the igniter is off so the gas just accumulates. This could cause an explosion or fire. It's only a couple years old but out of warranty. I'll never by LG again.

Completely Disappointed

This was a new home gift from my future father and mother in-law. I am unsure where to even begin with this dryer. First, it didn't work at all, and would shut off mid-way through every run. Someone came out and literally unplugged all of the wires and plugged them back in to reset it, and from there it just worked okay. Even with half a load of light laundry, you will almost consistently have to run the load again to make sure its dry. On top of that, the lint filter has broken off and twisted ...

Nice simple gas dryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dryer to replace my 15 year old LG dryer. This model is quiet, and does not have steam dry, which I do not need. This model is being discontinued, so I hope it is as reliable as my last LG dryer!

so many features to choose from

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the drier jut less than a month ago and I am still finding new things about it. Last weekend I found that I could turn the time for drying either up or down which is great. So far I have never needed to put the drier above 30 mins and that I did only once, to find that the towels were too dry - so this time I can put them on for 25 minutes. Terrific.
