I love my dryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this dryer over 10 years ago because it can dry a king-size comforter. I got tired of having a washer and dryer at home but needed to still go to the laundromat because the tubs were too small.

Easy to use features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this dryer 11/2 years ago. Started making a thumping noise, technician came out said the drum rollers were bad. He replaced the rollers. Next time we used it started the thumping noise again. A different company technician came out and showed me the dryer drum was warped causing noise. They replaced drum and fixed noise. Been good this past month. Hard to believe after such a short period of time the drum would warp. Have to wait and see...

Lint basket nightmare

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dryer 3 years ago but over the last year I have had the lint basket repaired / replaced Twice whit h has cost more that a new dryer. The design causes clothes to catch on the corner and rip clothes and destroy the basket.

Good reliable dryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as I needed a dryer when I bought my house. This is a good entry level model, had the basic cycles that we use. Now that it's almost 5 years old, the door doesn't seem to seal and makes squeeking sound, otherwise still running good.

Good but not great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this new LG washer to replace a previous one. I can'r say "old" one because it only lasted 6 years!! This new model looks similar but no longer matches my dryer like the previous one. Also, the cycles are named differently but the "instruction book" does not explain them. Worst part is the noise! Lint trap ruins clothes

Do not get this dryer. The lint trap melts and creates a hook and catches on clothes. I have ruined thousands of dollars worth of clothes.

HEAT FAILURE

Dryer is newer. Had venting system professionally cleaned. Stopped heating. Home Warranty Tech checked all systems, replace high limit sensor. Dryer worked for awhile but after multiple loads it stopped heating again. I will not buy another LG product. LG states this is not a “known issue” but Google says otherwise!

Doesn't Last

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this dryer for less than 3 years and it died. Unscrewed the back panel to find a wire completely burned and smelling. No storms happening or power issues at the time. Parts and Labor warranty is only 1 year so I'm S.O.L. This is on top of routinely having to re-dry things because the sensor thinks damp = dry.

Love it except...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very nice dryer overall but I do get frustrated when it "thinks" my larger items are dry & continues to shut off in the middle of a cycle. However, I do find that if I use the "speed dry" on those items, it'll dry them without stalling.

Great Service

We were very satisfied with the product and its capability until 10/21/2019 when it suffered a major breakdown and became dangerous to operate. However, I contacted LG Authorized Service, explained the problem to them, sent them proof of purchase and they agreed to repair the dryer free of charge on 10/28/2019. Life's Good? In this case, Life's Not So Good. Barely used this dryer over the course of the first 12 months (perhaps 1x per week). One would think you would have less problems b/c of it? Not so fast. Just one year and several months after purchase (ie after the warranty expired) the flow sensor gave out and constantly tells me that my vent is blocked 80-90% (which I assure you, it is not) and repeatedly shuts off. great features
