Would Not RecommendI got this to help me redo two tasks at a house I am working on. It worked great for the Oatey no caulk no weld shower drain I got to install. On the other shower I wanted a solvent weld drain for that shower and this wrench had no chance to fit the drain nut. It basically lined up and should have fit but was completely useless on that one. So I have gotten rid of it as I don't see the point carrying two tools for the same task. I don't know what brand I would get instead but I will certain...

Would RecommendDO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT attempt to remove your old drain without this tool. The last plumber attached the drain so tight it took about 20 minutes and a few bruised knuckles to remove the drain. This tool is a must have. You may only use it once but it is well worth it. Dont be a hero, get it! Highly recommend!

Would Not Recommendyou need both hands on it to work it as it has an insane amount of slop. This makes the tool useless as you will need to keep the basket from spinning with one hand.

Would RecommendI replaced my strainer basket which also came with a new threaded tail piece. Tip- If your old strainer basket breaks free from the plumber's putty (like mine did) I found it easier to HOLD the nut with the tool and use adjustable pliers to spin the tail piece until the nut was off. Trying to hold the tail piece with the pliers and spin the nut off with the tool did not work well- the tool kept slipping off the nut.
