the double drive mechanism is ingenious. the magnet holding the bits could be stronger; the extension included is a bit wobbly when in place.

Better than the DeWalt.

New to Kobalt tools, but I grabbed this on sale and it quickly became my favorite screwdriver. It's bigger and heavier than my DeWalt, but this gives it much better stability. The switch is much easier to use on this unit too. The bit storage in the handle is always a plus. I plan on grabbing a couple more for around the house.

Learned about this screwdriver from a friend. After watching him remove a number of screws quite rapidly, I decided I needed this in my tool box. Used it while taking down Christmas decorations. What isn't obvious if you have not used this before is that there are two possible settings. In one, you tighten the screw no matter which way you turn the handle. Make sure to hold this correctly

To get the most out of this screwdriver you want to use it with 2 hands. You put one hand on the middle ratcheting part and one hand on the blue handle. You hold the ratcheting part still while you rotate the handle part back and forth (clockwise then counter-clockwise and repeat) and the double-drive turns the screwdriver. This makes it more efficient than most hand screwdrivers. You can still use this with 1 hand though, you just won't get the double-drive feature. I liked this much that ...

Bits Fall Out

Great Concept and I would prefer to buy Kobalt over their competition anyday... Lowes is good to us Veterans. That said, I love everything about this screwdriver except every time I use it the bit will come out when i pull away from the screw. Doesn't matter if they are Kobalt, DeWalt, Makita, etc. Every bit will dislodge. This wastes anytime that may have been saved using the ratcheting mechanism. Kobalt please fix this and I'll buy another. Till then, I be purchasing a Makita, Wera, or K...
