Horrible bump feed

battery life was pretty good. but the bump feed mechanism is awful, had to replace after a year with an offbrand from WM. and it lasted less than 2 months. trimming it was capable but not for edging.

Nice Weight

I bought this trimmer because the other trimmers were too long and weighed too much. I have a very small yard. The battery does not last long enough for me to finish my yard so I bought another one and 2 batteries still are not enough. This disappoints me, I would buy a professional trimmer but it appears that they are built for a tall strong man and not for a 5'6" woman.

great weed eater, been using one just like it for four years.

NO REPLACEMENT PARTS

They do not and never did have replacement parts. If anything goes wrong on this be prepared to throw it away. Kobalt support is pointless and thought they put me on hold saying they would look while the rep just sat their joking with his buddy beside him wasting time then came back thinking he took me off hold and said I looked and we do not have that replacement part at this time. What a joke.

Looks like it will meet my needs

Has a quick bit of assembly which is easy. Seems like it will work fine, but haven't used it yet on account of snow/winter.

Worthless Warranty.

Reply was sorry to hear call customer service. I did again and same as first time. Reply call customer service sound good on review but a worthless response.

Worthless Warranty

Worked fine for a few years of lite usage. Not a lot of trimming about 15-20 minutes every other week. During cutting season. Went to trim and pulled trigger nothing. Changed battery nothing. Switch bad maybe feels odd. Anyway can’t buy parts. Always use my Lowe’s account and it does not show my purchase but I know for certain I used it. Lowe’s says No receipt no warranty. I say foul ball and a ripoff. My Lowe’s is suppose to be so we don’t have to find a receipt 2-3 years down...

Can't find parts

I upgraded most of my battery tools to Kobalt. I picked up one of these for my wife and she loves it. Tonight the head popped apart when she was using it and the 2 metal guides went flying. I found one of them and figured that I could find a replacement online. NOPE. We have a good tool with a lot of life left on it that is unusable at the moment.

Good luck with the line feed

Honestly the most work required trimmer I've ever used. During use the line shortens and the bump feed or line feed doesn't EVER work. 2 to 3 times I have to stop, disassemble, feed new line, repeat. 2 months old and would love to donate or throw out. Terrible tool.

Beware

Great little weed wacker,but it only lasted a year,Bought two extra batteries used it 2 hours a week and now it just doesn't work,batteries fully charged and still nothing,I definitely don't recommend.

Cheap

Battery is weak and the motor delays when you press the trigger. Kobalt tools are not impressing me lately.

This is a good quality product and I recommend it.

This is a same model replacement for the one I had for around 10 years, so I like it very much. Easy to use and light weight.

light weight but trims like a heavy weight

A six year old could handle the weight of this trimmer but it will trim like a man

24 Volt Weed Trimmer.

This is a light duty weed trimmer that works good for small areas. It is convenient and easy to operate. I have the hedge trimmer, weed blower, weed trimmer and a light that all use the same battery which makes it even more conveniant to use.

Great trimmer

Lighter than most trimmers but powerful and gets the job done. One battery more than enough for trimming a yard
