Can’t See Buttons

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was installed by my builder (not the one they told me I was getting) and I don’t like it at all. First of all, there are no lights on the panel so you can’t see what button you are pressing! RIDICULOUS…..what were they thinking.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This hood came with my new house and I really like it. The design is sleek and simple, which speaks to me. It is quiet when it's in (except on high, and you wouldn't expect it to be quiet!) I like that the filters don't show - they did in the hood in my last house.

Great features

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Nice design. Looks good and works well. Has 3 cycles and is very quiet. I especially like the auto shut off feature . The fans are hidden which provides a polished look.

Looks nice, works well

works as it should with a nice surprise

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] was part of the package for the kitchen i decided to have in my new home. works as expected with a nice light feature. not only does it have the regular light in front of the unit but there is a rear light that has a nice look when turned on illuminating the tile work.

Canopy hood

Failed within Months -

I brought this venthood when updating my all of my kitchen appliances. Within 4 months of purchase the vent hood malfunctioned while automatically adjusting the speed to boost mode. The vent hood was so loud sounded like a small airplane, followed by internal parts rumbling. The vent hood simply makes a humming noise. The venthood was only used a handful of times before failing.

Poor Quality

After a few years of ownership, I have noticed the following intermittent issues: 1) when trying to turn off the Light, the light does not turn off but the "Boost (10 min)" fan turns on. 2) the fan turned itself on. Auto Sense was not enabled. The cooktop was not in use.

Expect it to fail

Stay away from this range hood (and all KA products for that matter). Mine failed after less than 2.5 years due to a fried circuit board (Also had an oven/microwave combo that failed within one month). The KA-contracted vendor informed me it happens all the time with their products and quoted a price of $800 to fix it. KA Customer Service offered me a 15% coupon to buy a new one…some sort of “Loyalty Program” where they continue to make more $ and I get another product that will stop working ...

Kitchenaid Vent-a-Hood

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice looking appliance. So far I have enjoyed it. I will say it is a little difficult to see the control pads.

Plenty of power

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looks like a piece of professional kitchen equipment. It has gobs of power to remove odors but not sure about removing smoke as haven’t smoked up my place - yet. Great lights too.

Great looking product that I can't use

I have now been transferred 3 times in the 1.5hrs that I was on hold with Customer Service so here we go. The hood is amazing to look at but, I'm missing a part to be able to install the appliance on the wall. I am in need of a Vent cover bracket so I can cover up the vent pipe going to the ceiling. Upon opening the box and going through the installation instructions, it seems as though it was never placed in the box to begin with. Beautiful to look at but in need of a part and can't get help...
