A couple tips...

We bought this model a couple years ago and it's great -- quiet, cleans well, etc. Good value. Our electricity to the house tends to spike and one time this caused the electronics on the operation panel to falter. The instruction book said to check the circuit breaker, which we did and the circuit breaker had NOT tripped. However, we learned to do a "hard reset" by turning the circuit breaker off and letting it stay off for about 10 minutes. Worked great after that. Also, the service man sugge...

Love the 3rd tray for silverware, etc!

Lots of room in the dishwasher & even more space for extra silverware & knives! Runs very quite, too! Love this dishwasher!

Inoperable 13 months after install

This dishwasher is now inoperable after 13 months of light use (it's just my wife and I in our house). Called Whirlpool to get service - they want to charge me $400 to come fix it!! Feel like I have been ripped off. Getting a bit fed up with Lowes at the same time. Going to start buying from local folks - not large chains.

Kitchen Aid - Always the Best!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm 66 years old and I remember when I was 5 my dad got my mom a Kitchen Aid dishwasher! whoohoo! Our family still goes for Kitchen Aid appliances. This dishwasher is great. What I expect from Kitchen Aid. Of course there are updated features that make it even better. Super quiet!! I like the 3rd level rack but have to get used to using it. That's a new concept for me. I'm very satisfied and always recommend Kitchen Aid for dishwashers.

Cleans Well, but Not Good Design

Compared to the old Whirlpool, this KitchenAid cleans much better (probably because I could NOT access the Whirlpool's filter to clean it). The interior design; however, is worse. Stemware does not really fit well anywhere in the upper rack and there are no hooks/guards to secure wine glasses. Additionally, the prongs are weirdly...

Steam damage

Front vent releases so much steam it causes damage to stainless steel front panel, looks terrible, also when it's opened as your emptying out the dishes it pours water from the vent all over the floor.

Great dishwasher

No Drip Dying

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well I am impressed. Had a Bosch for years and made the switch. Have been happy with how quiet it is and the no drip drying power of my glad plastic containers. The stainless front panel is quality and easy clean if necessary. The only negative is the shelves do not roll out smoothly. I will still give this dishwasher my 5 out of 5 senior stars.

Super Quiet!

washer has screws missing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I installed this dishwasher and ran it the same night. The next morning, water was all over the floor and the washer would not respond to any commands. It turns out that 2 screws were missing from the rack rollers and water leaked out of the dishwasher side onto the floor. It also filled up the the drip pan triggering the shut-off float switch. I had to uninstall the unit and have a tech come out and replace the missing screws. This is somethin...

Expected quality got malfunction

The dishwasher has been installed about 6 months and the control panel went out. Service tech came and ordered a new front door (panel is glued to door). I have now been told the panel is on "national backorder" and there is no estimate of a delivery. Washing dishes by hand, with an above average price dishwasher that is broken.

Broken & not repairable

Less than 24 months the interface inside the door failed. Have to buy $400 door to repair after being charged for $400 of wrong parts and labor. Given the run around for two months. Never buying KitchenAid or Whirlpool again.

Premature failure with impossible to find parts

I did all the research and this was a top recommended dishwasher. Less than two years of owning it stops working. KitchenAid for wa repairs thru Goodman who is a HORRIBLE, unreliable, & non responsive. Over 6 weeks of not working before they claim a new door is needed bc you can't order the part.

Good overall performance

DOA (Dead On Arrival) - Not happy!

I bought the dishwasher last week at my local appliance store (who have been great, it's not them) to replace my not very old Whirlpool which I hated and which never did wash well. The tech installed this new KitchenAid and thought it had a bad inlet valve because no water would come into the machine.
