"Stains" too easy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I LOVEmy cooktop! It looks fantastic. Getting used to how easily it gets marred up is going to continue to be sad. Any water drops on the outside of a pot/pan or running down the side when the steamer is doing it's job seems to make for continual cleaning. So far that is the only negative thing. All the burner size options and heating is exactly as our sales lady said.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Still getting used to new cooktop. The only thing I would mention is that its hard to see the outline of the burners. Have to put pan as close as possible and then adjust when it gets red.

Terrible cooktop

I bought new cooktop in August. Live alone and do not cook much. Cooktop looks old already. White spots pop up, heat marks from under glass that won’t go away. Kitchenaid’s should not sell this product. I keep a spotless kitchen and this cooktop is embarrassing. Cannot be cleaned away.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would have been happier if the knob controls had been aligned vertically to the side rather than horizontally directly in front for the 36" model. Additionally, the foam lining around the perimeter was shredded upon product arrival and that suggested a rather shoddy attention to detail. I have called on KitchenAid customer support to requesting a repair team to my home to examine the product and make appropriate repairs or modifications.

Like the knobs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was part of builder's package in newly built house. Seems to cook well and evenly. Cleanup is easy of course but I find it to smear easily regardless of cleaning with soapy water or Weimann's stove top cleaner. Takes a lot of careful buffing to get out the strokes left after the cleaning process.

Please Help

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have been unable to use on a regular basis because the kitchen aid retractable downdraft is making a loud noise and has no suction power. Kitchen Aid repair specialist service the unit on 7/23.The noise went away for a day and has return. He states the suction problem is in the duct work. The original HVAC company that installed the duct work states it the downdraft that not working. Will get a 2nd opinion from another HVAC Co.

Well made product!!

Where are the burners?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am happy with this unit, but I find it hard to see where the burners are. I almost always have to check a copy of where the burners are. I wish they were more easily defined.

Cooktop material problematic- warranty not honored

Defective cooktop got permanent white marks right away (and internal smoke, but that cleared up). Warranty support sent someone out who reported the unit was safe to use and didn’t include his own opinion that the cooktop material was a problem. “Support” then suggested using Affresh although I explained it was the material, not food debris. Bought it and used Affresh of course didn’t fix the problem, now “support” declares the problem “cosmetic” and not covered by warranty. I have a brand new k...

Disappointed with Durability and Warranty Support

I invested in the KitchenAid KCES556HSS00 cooktop as part of a complete kitchen renovation 11 months ago.
