This is our 2nd Kitchen Aid coffee maker. We Love this one even better than the first one, I like being able to set the hot plate for extended heating time, which was the only thing lacking on the first one. I like the glossy black color better than the gray.

Bad Carafe

I have had this for 3 months and used it often. However, it is the most fragile carafe known to man. The slightest touch on a wood cutting board caused it to crack. Also, the lid to the grounds baskets leaks water every single time it is lifted. Who designed this thing? I had the previous version of this coffee pot and loved it. Warming plate doesn't work on new coffee maker.

The appliance is perfect for my counter, it makes great coffee and the capacity is great for company. But I already wrote to you to report the warming plate does not work at all. After it worked perfectly just about 3 times, the warming plate stopped working entirely. I wanted the coffee to stay warm for at least an hour after making it, but it doesn't work. Terrible for the price

I'm on my second one as I returned the first one. You can not brew on bold, instantly turns off. It almost always turns off after brewing coffee and I have to turn in back on and hit the plate warmer to keep the coffee warm. If I run the timer I almost always find the pot off and the coffee cold. I tried to check the manual but nothing indicates I'm doing anything wrong.

After three days, we are back to our old sixteen year old kitchen aid. The keep hot burner won't stay on and the carafe popped a big hole in it on day two! A new one is back ordered for a month. I guess we are not the only ones with a brittle pot. The coffee maker was very expensive.

Has Issues

A 3rd one is soon to be shipped to replace the 1st TWO that have the same issues. Warming plate doesn't work, will not brew on bold. Too many computer components a guess. Not user friendly at all. Don't buy.

Right after usage, the coffee pot drips the coffee onto the heating plate. If you do not get to it fast enough, it will stick to the pot itself. Causing the coating to come off of the plate. The lid broke after a couple uses poorly made.

No replacement carafe

The carafe is extremely fragile. Mine broke with the slightest tap on the sink, and I cannot find a replacement anywhere. Without a carafe, the machine is completely useless. Unless the company makes replacements easily available, I would not recommend buying this product!
