Nice machine!

This food processor works nicely. I have used the slicing, grating, and most often - the chopping blade. They all work well. The motor is strong enough to do everything I have done with it well. The top piece that pulls out to allow addition of ingredients works smoothly and is a good size. The safety features are very good. Unless the lid parts are well seated, it won't turn on - always a good thing. It weighs just enough to make it stable, but not so much that I can't store it in the cabinet e...

Great processor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the size, strength of this food processor. It does everything I need in the kitchen, slicing, shredding, chopping, making pie dough easy and shredding cabbage for saur kraut.

Expected Better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this at a fund-raiser. My previous food processor (cuisinart—9C), still operated fine but the lock mechanism with the bowl had broken off. This Kitchen Aid machine is a big disappointment. Clunky. Unlocks too easily. The base is too light and jumps around when running. The on-off pads don’t always respond. If I had bought this rather than acquire it at a fund-raiser, I would have returned it.

Large feeder tube & powerful motor

Not for me

Good, for the most part

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The chopping feature works well. The shredding feature not so much. The shredded food accumulates in one place and it is annoying to have to open it up so frequently to redistribute the food as well as what gets trapped between the lid and shredder.

Wouldn’t buy again

I bought this to replace my 20 year old KA food processor that I could no longer get a replacement lid for. I am beyond frustrated every time I use it as there are so many design flaws. The lid has and corresponding food pusher have way to many crooks and crevices for food to get caught in that it is nearly impossible to clean and I feel like I am losing about 1/4 of my food. I primarily use my processor for grating cheese, slicing carrots, celery, and onions and inevitably a ton of food it alwa...

Great product

I don't like the really tall height of the newest model. It truly makes quick work of any chopping job. The exact slicer is great! I choose the thickness, its not chosen for me.

Wonderful addition

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this food processor to replace a very old Cuisinart & specifically to make yummy date bars that are very sticky, since my old appliance didn’t work well for that. This model not only worked perfectly for those sticky dates, but the smaller bowl for pesto was also perfect. Definitely recommend!

Always a great processor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had 2 of the first KA Processors on the market and loved them. 1 1/2 yr. ago 1 was too cracked to use so I followed Consumers Report and bought a Cuisineart. Bad news! When my second 1 went I bought the KA and love it.

Great Features

I just got it today; it’s replacing my heavy duty 20 yr old KFPM770NKO. The old machine motor still works great but the bowl & lid finally bit the dust and not available any longer. It’s been a real workhorse. Awesome food processor
