What Customers Are Saying
The primer provides excellent adhesion and bonding power, allowing it to effectively adhere to difficult surfaces without extensive preparation. It is easy to apply, dries quickly, and provides good coverage in 1-2 coats. The low odor makes it suitable for use in occupied spaces, and cleanup is simple with just water. While more expensive than some alternatives, the superior performance and results are considered worth the extra cost, especially for challenging painting projects.

Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this primer over high gloss marlite wallboard in my bathroom. It worked great! I was able to paint the walls easily, after they were sealed with the primer. They are gorgeous.

Definitely recommend
Would RecommendThis product was just what I’ve been looking for! Redoing kitchen cabinets didn’t want to through the hassle of sanding them. This adhesive paint went on great over the old paint. Dried in a day and I was able to paint with the color choice the next day. Turned out beautiful.

Don't have to sand. But we did for better hold.
Paint works great on hard to paint surfaces. But it is a little pricey. 75.00 a gallon and you have to order it .

Would Not RecommendProperty was think, thin like skim milk and barely covered an already off white color. Would not buy ever again and especially with not how expensive this was.

Great job
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed to refinish old poorly installed cheap fake wood paneling. Removing it wasn't feasible, and sanding it could damage it. I cleaned it really well, applied a coat of this primer, then painted it. Night and day difference! Over a year later, it's still holding strong. I was told the only way to cover faux paneling was applying plaster....my whole house is textured plaster and I hate it. This was easier, simpler, cheaper, looks better, and...

Fantastic primer for hard-to-paint surfaces
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] KILZ Adhesion saved my project when at first I couldn't get anything to stick and not scratch off on my my "test" surfaces. I was practicing on some extra cabinets we didn't use in our kitchen remodel. We were using three sets of used cabinets we biught to mix and match . Two were oak sets, and one was some stained unidebtifiablw woodlike product preprinted with a fake whitewashed wood grain. I knew the room would look much better with all-wh...

Preps paneling perfectly prior to painting
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to cover a kitchen that was totally paneled . Worked perfectly, and the latex paint we applied after applying the primer went on wonderfully.

Great product for historic restoration
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use Kilz adhesion exclusively when i am restoring homes with old plaster. Many times old plaster had been covered with wallpaper, or painted with a gloss oil paint, or just has staining and whatnot from age. Regardless of the previous covering, Kilz adhesion brings it back to a state where I can top coat with whatever i want. Great product.

Holding strong after 4 years!
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We remodeled our kitchen in 2020. In this kitchen we have n exterior fiberglass door that was white. I wanted to paint it navy to match my navy accents. I cleaned the door with Krud Cutter then used Kilz adhesion primer (1 coat) and then painted 2 coats of navy paint. After 4 years the paint is sill perfect. No chips or scratches. After the success with my door I decided to use the same primer to paint darker wood kitchen cabinets. I cleaned wi...

Metal Filing Cabinet was no problem for Kilz
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So we had a white metal filing cabinet that our client wanted to be a baby blue.. well after researching primers that would work for metal I settled on an oil based primer... the guy at Lowes told me that an oil based primer was the worst possible idea. I mentioned I had looked into the Kilz Adhesion and would try that instead. When I say this primer is AMAZING, have no doubt I did 2 coats of the kilz adhesion and the baby blue furniture pain...
