Stuck button

Button gets stuck periodically don't know when it's going to work and oiling doesn't help the faucet only is expensive and the unit isn't repairable

We loved this product until it failed. Button is stuck. I am sad to read the same reviews. Hoping to call the 800 number to find out if a different faucet is compatible.

Great while it worked

Same as others. It lasted a few years then started to leak from the bottom. It was out of warranty so I cracked it open. It appears that the gasket failed.

They don't last long.

Performed well while it worked, but 5 years after purchase the unit started leaking from the bottom. Best I can tell, no way to service the unit short of replacing the whole thing for another couple a hundred dollars.

Sticky Button ugh

Ugh, like other users, so frustrated with the "sticky button". I already replaced the dispenser one time about a year ago, it started up again about a month later, I have to oil it constantly and that only helps make it dribble out, but not stop. It's just a bad design. I love all Insinkerator products, including this one, just this push button thingy is not good.

Hot100

Product does what it is meant to do and works well. However, we have the unit with the faucet and push button. After 2 months, the button sticks and the water stay on. Have to pry the button close.

The faucet is the nice feature

difficult to install the faucet due to sink hole location otherwise it was a simple R&R . Matches the main faucet.

Excellent product AND support

This product performs beautifully. The first one that I installed (at another home) developed an odd smell to the water after a few years. The company did not hesitate to send a replacement unit. This is in direct contrast to another vendor... I have previously owned 2 Quick & Hot units from Westbrass. Each lasted less than 3 years before the tap developed an annoying leak. Easy Replacement of Old Unit

Installed one of these about 8 years ago along with the filter that's meant for it. The water tank corroded and failed, lasts about as long as one of their sink disposals. I only changed out the tank itself. Fortunately, both are quite easily replaced, much like their disposals (as long as you use similar model so mounting matches up). I wish that they lasted longer, but the ease of replacement sort of makes up for it...kind of. Somewhat. Okay, At least a little. Not as easy to change as a light...

We love our instant hot water!

If you like tea or instant coffee, you will love having instant hot water at your finger tips. We wouldn't be without it!

Easy to replace an older unit

I had installed two circa 2004 Insta-Hots in my duplexes. A few months ago, the one that had the least amount of use suddenly quit producing hot water. I checked the plug, outlet and breakers but was unable to determine the fault. I purchased a similar capacity replacement and found that it was easy to remove the old unit and install the new one. Great Idea

Product has lasted 8 years before I had to replace it. Pro-long use at any one time will reduce the life expectancy of the seals and will start leaking. Other than that, it is a handy feature.

Great Product have used this product since 1993 and could not live without it

We use this product multiiple time a day and would be lost with out the ability to get hot water on demand

Excellent product

Having instant hot water is a wonderful feature for everything from making tea to jumpstarting steaming vegetables to rinsing dirty dishes. The styling is elegant with an easy to use handle.

Love these instant hot water dispensers

This newer type is much better than the older version. It has a handle instead of a push button. It's so nice to have instant hot water in your kitchen sink!

Reliable hot water at a cost

The hot water unit delivers consistent hot water, however the tank must not be very well insulated because it re-heats frequently even without use. It is also very noisy when heating.

Family loves it!

I bought this unit to surprise my wife. Everyone morning she would use the microwave or heat water in a pot. Now, after a fairly easy install, if you are skilled with a few tools, you will have no problem installing this under the sink. Now my wife, my kids, and I love having hot water on demand. I don’t see us living without this now.

convenient

I just purchased a new InSinkErator hot water dispenser. Our 1st unit lasted about 12 years which is more than expected lifetime. This is a somewhat costly purchase, plus the additional outlay for professional installation. However having the insta-hot is very convenient. and we feel it is worth the money spent.

Not as hot as expected

Water flow fails to remain even. Strong to weak, strong to weak, strong to weak, strong to weak. I began with the thermostat mid- range. Water temperature was 145F. Turned up to 3/4 range. Water temperature 160F. Turned all the way to HIGH. Water temperature 165F. Much cooler than the advertised temperature of 205F. Water flow and water temperature make this one a disappointment.
