What Customers Are Saying

The ceiling fans provide good air circulation and are considered a good value, though some customers have experienced issues with the light kits, which often stopped working within a year. The installation process was also more time-consuming than claimed. While the fan performance is generally satisfactory, the recurring problems with the light kits are a major concern, and some customers have expressed disappointment with the difficulty in obtaining replacement parts.

No worries

Would Recommend

Very nice, quiet, stable fan. The installation Is a breeze, and when it’s done, the fan runs on “high”, but the chain pulls are perfectly still. That’s just how I like it.

Good looking fan!

Would Recommend

I bought this fan because my old one no longer fit my décor. I like the look, colors, design, and the airflow. I also like how bright the light is. This replaced my hunter baseball ceiling fan. Anyway, I recommend this fan and I will purchase again in the future. When you look at the photos, the hunter baseball ceiling fan was my old one. The hunter Ridgefield is my new one.

Loud Hum from fan motor

Would Not Recommend

I installed one, turned it on, and started disassembly 5 minutes later when i heard the loud hum from the motor. Since i know the Hunter reputation, I returned and replaced with a new box of the same fan. It makes the same loud noise. This fan is louder than 20 year old no name ceiling fans in my house.

Dependable Hunter fan.

Would Recommend

We've owned a number of Hunter fans over the years. Not because they go bad. But because we moved. Our experience with this fan has been just as we expected. No problems with installation, and quiet, vibration-free operation. Only issue we encountered was when trying to register the fan online. Apparently, Hunter had not updated their web registration software to recognize that when recording the date of purchase, 2020 is no longer a date in the future. Oh well, we may never need the warranty a...

Good fan for my bedroom

Would Recommend

My Hunter Ridgefield ceiling fan was the last thing I installed in my recently remodeled bedroom. It is a great addition. If you want good task lighting, this is a good fan to go with. I installed the fan during the middle of winter so I have used it very little. The fan is balanced and quiet. Unlike previous Ridgefield models, this model is not a "5 minute fan", meaning there is more involved with blade attachment. However, unlike previous Ridgefield models, this model comes with LED light bulb...

Attractive Fan

Would Recommend

Very attractive ceiling fan with lights for small room. Only negative is that the light bulbs included are extremely bright. Luckily, we have a dimmer switch for the light, but if you don't, just be prepared for a very bright room.

Now noise fan

replaced small noisy fan, had fan for almost 20 years and motor started squeaking. Most of the house fans are Hunter due to reputation.

Ceiling fan and light

Would Recommend

This would be 5 stars if the blades would be angled a little more to push the air a little more. Easy to instal and easy to assemble.

"Lights out" and still waiting

Would Not Recommend

I purchased the Hunter Ridgefield II (identical to this model but incandescent) many months ago and shared in a review that all the lights had stopped working--as others have reported in their reviews of this model as well. A Hunter rep contacted me SIX MONTHS AGO (April 3, 2019) and informed me that the wire harness with service part number K226602H03 would need to be replaced; it was on back order until June. However, the rep offered to send the part from the silver model of the fan (so I'd ha...

Simple, Robust, Does not break budget & Elegant!

Would Recommend

Hunter the the way to go! We bought few other trying to save money but did not work! This fan is not that expensive for the quality. Very easy to install. Very quiet. We do not use the lights as we have recessed lights all over. It has been over 5 months with no problems.

Replacement Fan

Would Recommend

This was a replacement for a fan that had the fan control chain go through a bushing and bend before it reached he switch. this put a strain and caused the chain to break inside the switch. The new fan has a direct connected switch.
