Replacing the batteries did not make it work any better. If you smacked it on your hand a few times, it might work. Finally tired of the frustration, I opened the remote and found that the battery contacts were oxidized and the negative contact had lost its spring. Dimmable lights, 3 fan speeds plus a breeze setting, delayed light off setting to allow you to exit the room, home setting allows lights to turn on/off while not at home.
